LOL everyone who criticze Tessa and Scott: have you ever sat right next to skaters during a competition? I did, and every one of them looks either focused or bored like hell. There is no exception...They are focused because this is their profession and they look performances in a completely different way than we, fans do; they are not there for cheering for the skater (except if they are from the same country), and they are bored because it is the 2636th program that day and they are bored of it and probably tired too. butterfly i guess it runs for the athletes, i was once seated next to the retired badminton player and he clearly had his eyee focused on our atheletes. After the game was over he jotted down some notes and gave it to the coach.

butterfly this is kind of funny to read because all I remember is that recording of Yuzuru reacting to Javi's 2016 gpf fs and all his reactions were very animated 😂 so he might be the exception to what you said 😆

I think that’s a quite normal behavior that comes naturally when you are a professional or a competitor yourself. When I was skating and competing myself, we were cheering for our club mates but hardly for the others. No matter whether they were rivals or not. And we certainly looked as bored as Tessa and Scott looked. So there is nothing wrong with their behaviour, it doesn’t have to do with Yuzu in particular.

I couldn't stop laughing as I was watching it! They looked like coaches, but Hanyu is Chan's rival, and as for most Canadians...We'll support our own men and women first...

Yes, they were there only so they could report back to Patrick Chan- how many Quads. This was the first year Yuzu did the Salchow. He did it here and only one other tine that year and fell on the others.

i think they were just sort of like that because naturally, yuzuru is their country's rival, in other words Pchiddy's competitive rival. Don't get me wrong, I love Yuzuru oh so very much and I really love tessa and scott too but I just think their support for Patrick Chan is just so great.x

I remember watching our Canada Women’s Soccer Team for the first time, I wasn’t watching the game and was just watching Christine Sinclair 😂 I feel whoever recorded these two!😃

They are anxious for Chan. If he loses to Hanyu, VM must face much bigger pressure.

Why are they both wearing white??? Makes me think that this is what #VirtueMoir would look like while other kids are performing at their future kid's junior figure skating competition. Then they'd turn into the stage parents that they are when it's their kid's turn...

Well instead of them,My focus was all on that white bearded papa siting behind them,like at first he was chewing something so delicious and then applaused for yuzu in a kind way and then with great dramatic expression shouted for him.That's me while watching this performance at the first time.But I was stunned by the comments below,well I think it's normal whatever reaction Tessa and Scott would have.

Lol they’re so bored. This isn’t one of Hanyu’s most compelling programs, and he wasn’t really seen as a “legend” yet so it’s not like they knew what to look for. Plus, I get the feeling Scott really doesn’t care about skating especially as a spectator. He likes hockey and golf. Oh and taping them watching is so creepy and invasive.

I really wonder why people always consider Hanyu is he biggest rival?? particularly Chan's rival?? Did they have misunderstanding in the past or...?? The only thing I see is only Janpanese support him and his friend Javier, others do not like him?

Maybe because Chan won the world championships three times between 2011-2013, then came Hanyu and won the Grand Prix final in 2013 and then the Olympic Games in 2014. Chan was considered the main contender to win these, and Hanyu beat him at both competitions. So yeah that's why he became his biggest rival (but then Chan retired so Fernandez became Hanyu's biggest rival)

Yes I get why you would ask the first part about Hanyu-Chan rivalry especially if you haven't watched their past competitions... but the second part though? Your comment was posted less than a year ago as well, when Yuzuru was already a world record holder and so I find it weird that you would ask such a question.

Jessica W nothing is weird when I ask such question. Yu is nice person and I think he may have at least positive reaction from his colleagues, not like this kind of acts. This reaction may be they were worried, competitive "Japanese" in my sentence means Japanese skaters and audiences 1 more, I usually watch the performances not bts (behind the scences)
