Finland to vote on returning back Russian asylum seekers | DW News

Finland's parliament is set to vote on a bill granting border guards the power to turn back asylum seekers coming from Russia. It is expected to pass, as both the ruling right-wing coalition and many opposition lawmakers are backing it. The government has said the bill is vital to stop future arrivals, despite the law being at odds with Finland's international human rights commitments.

Must admit that i have NEVER felt so European like now. When i see problems with all them ungrateful and demanding illegal immigrants in Italy, as an example. That really makes me as mad as of it was happening in front of my own house. We people of Europe have the same kind of problems, often made by our dumb EU politicians is also so darn crazy.... EU haven't made me more European, but all these wrongdoings they have make has absolutely made more European ....so its kind of working, but not in the way its ment to do i guess 😊. Deportation is removal of a person from nation and it doesn't matter wheter person who is deported, came to country legally or ilegally. You can be deported right at the passport control even if you are just a tourist who legaly bought a trip through traveling agency, only thing which prevents that, are treaties which dictate under which terms nations are allowed to do that. One of the terms which gives a lot of levarage to any nation, is violation of any laws, so you can be deported right at the airport, just because you commit a crime and it doesn't have to be more serious, than littering.

The law is not according to international law and it's not going to be used now or in any remotely normal situation. It's going to be used only in extreme situations where breaking international law is the less bad option and obviously everybody hopes such a situation will never happen.
