Well it does make sense to play Finland first as it's the center piece of the whole dlc.

The concept of Finland ideologically browbeating, and then threatening the rest of the Nordics to unite under a Finnish-led fascist regime -- it's pretty wild. Would be kinda like if Wales united Ireland, Scotland and England by threat of force.

@@isthissomesortofmeme8932Finland had the best military out of the Nordics by FAR. Norway was weak, Denmark barely even had an army and Sweden was more of an economic power. However, while they had some of the hardest fighters defending their homeland, in an offensive war against the other Nordics, they would suffer due to a lack of population (and also wouldn’t be fighting for their nations very existence) and likely wouldn’t even be able to hold on to a country like Denmark for any extended period of time.

@@isaacskinner5565 I didn't really mean a soldier-and-bullets comparison of the military strengths of each country in 1936. I'm sure what you're saying is true. It was more of a comment on the histories and identities of the Nordic people's; Historically, Sweden and Denmark had vied to be the expansionist power of Scandinavia, and Norway had been a prize that they fought over. Finland, in terms of scandinavian history, first became an independent nation in 1917, and has never been a powerful, dominant presence in the region.

@@jaxblonk5127 I as a Brit have gotten lost and found myself here whilst I was supposed to be heading to the frozen section of my local supermarket....it has been 3 years and I can confirm the good Finnish people are awesome, but they kinda stick to themselves, I just wanna make new friends around here and instead I have grown more introverted, perkele, and don't get me started on the language troubles.

I don't know for sure when Mexico began developing it's own rail industry, but the earliest rails and trains there were built, owned, and operated by American companies. Pancho Villa really enjoyed robbing American trains operating on Mexican soil. Hard to picture him as the stereotypical Western flick bad guy when we were trying to manifest destiny south of the Rio Grande.

@@joskarifinaukr6503 Well I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says Mexico nationalized its rail industry between the late 20s and 1937 so if that's true and not a product of Wikipedia being a bad source for anything other than looking something up in 5 seconds Mexico definitely should have train tech and probably have a production line of trains in their cue in 1936.

For the most part, you should trust Wikipedia. Take it with a grain of salt, but Wikipedia is basically maintained by chronically online autists. If you change something incorrectly z it's normally repaired within minutes.

me just happy to see they added Lauri Torni The Soldier of Three Armies served with Finland then Waffen SS and after the war became a US Army Ranger and was killed in Vietnam when his helicopter went missing in October of 1965 they didnt find his remains till 1999 and they werent identified till 2003. he may have fought for the bad guys for a few years but he was was a cool guy and the Soviets even placed a bounty on his head.

If you want to have Manaheim after civil war you need to first spent 70pp on getting military on the coup side (need also 30% support for facist) - best way is to rush right-wing policy > prepare military coup then move to enhance southern infra and once that is done you can start A facist regime, as by this point you should have 70pp and 30% support. Once you secure military you get all military staff after civil war.

This is crazy good stuff, thank you. Also you have possibility to join axis too. Disband faction, join axis. That will delay the winter war, giving more time to you and ussr. Also crazy side-effect of annexing denmark and holding greenland: Now one of the AIs are invading Canada.

stakuyi did you know that a california teacher in april 1967 did an expirement that lasted 5 days called the third wave experiment which kinda shows us and can help us understand how dictatorships come to power although not every dictatorship did it but the fascist ones did. what are your thoughts on it?

Finland was a monarchy for all of ONE year after WW1, and it was ruled by a German Prince, Fredrick Kaarle. Also, during wintertime the sun never reaches the horizon

The problem whith this civil war is that states controlled by you vs the states controlled by the ai are anrealistic and should be the other way around, since during 1930s people far righ had more support in Pohjanmaa and Lapland than other parts of Finland and the major population centers in the south were generally leaning towords left

everytime i do this as soon as Sweden and Norway flip they just join the axis

Im having trouble inviting the Ai into the finnish league as they always jump to the axis before I send it. Anyone knows whats up? Is it an issue that I try doing it before late 1937? Maybe its too early? Edit: Yea I tried doing it step by step exactly like the video again yet Sweden joins the axis whilst I cant invite due to the neutrality thing still being in effect.

I just cant figure out the right production to keep the soviets from eventually encircling me, but the divisions with aa guns are so op it instantly makes them retreat and stop advancing, but the numbers omg an finlands a bit bigger than lux. im still trying different build paths

because mannerheim is not loyal to fascist but you can change that by a decision named secure the millitary when you do the focus prepare millitary coup you will get a decision name secure the millitary that should all everyone loyal to fascist even Mannerheim too@@jniemela5870

I didn't notice arrows in the production window, but the construction queue had arrows for a while. I probably wouldn't have noticed myself though because I always just drag each item up or down manually.

My fault was attempting this route on ahistorical, because the Finnish Supremacy in the North gave me an instant alliance with AI fascist Estonia and almost instantly afterwards they completed their alt history focus which demanded for Finland-Estonian union - that was the exactly same thing i was going for, but because the AI initiated it, it would have ended the game for me. Refusal instead gave me war goals towards Estonia with whom i had been allied for like 3 days. I attempted to complete the Finnish equivalent of the focus (Viron Kansa) which would have annexed Estonia, but they refused despite identical goal and ideology, actually i've never been able to get the approved outcome of this focus. Ahistorical is my favourite but gets too goddamn messy sometimes lol
