The tradesmen we've had in our house (Piemonte) have always been of the utmost professionalism and quick too. One gave me a pretty high bid on some tiling on bathroom walls. I thought he was trying to stiff me and I took a shot at it myself. He was right. The wall needed to be replastered and the job was worth what he was bidding. I tried to get him back but he took offense that I questioned his judgment and another guy fixed my screwed up work. The flip side of this efficiency can be found in the Italian bureaucracy. They view the citizens' time as free and make you queue up endlessly and then require all kinds of useless documents/data. My theory is that it is to give the illusion of adding value.

The method being used to get the concrete from the dirt pile to the wheelbarrow to the upper floor then the empty wheelbarrow down is so efficient to watch. Amazing how well you all work together. Thanks for shareing. ❤
In the 40+ years that I've been employed in construction, I've wheeled concrete up ramps, down ramps, pumped it, or even carried it in 5 gallon buckets up ladders, but I had never seen a wheelbarrow with a frame to lift it with a hoist. You've got a real specialized crew of masons there.
I love how the coffee break on the worksite is freshly brewed coffee and served in ceramic cups! ❤☕️

You need to make a Calendar highlighting all those wonderful craftsmen who have worked on your home. Including your family. Sell it on your channel.
Brady those men certainly know their onions in their trade and craft and I think you have earned their massive respect for you as you are working just as hard as they are and not afraid to work and work along side them . Heather is so excited. You can see that you all were exhausted at the end of laying that cement terrace, enjoy your well earned week end off and rest. This has been absolutely amazing to watch and the stone addition is magnificent.
Seeing the foldable tape measure reminds me of my late father, a builder, back in the 70s and early 80s before the retractable tape measures really became the norm. I love watching these men at work. They are very talented!

The quality work on your build is solid. These guys are excellent. I love watching this solid structure go up. A couple of the other homesteading/building channels I follow: Maya (I think she might be German or Swiss) in Portugal and Todd and Taylor in Canada (they're Canadian) have had a little or a lot of trouble with the work of their contractors and builders. It's wonderful to see that you're able to find such quality help in a country so far from home. It can be scary finding reliable help at home where you have command of the language and customs. And you have such a great attitude, as do your local helpers. Beautiful.
I would love one day for you or Heather or all of you to take us to the villages below and show us around….even at school pickup! I know everyone wants to see your building but you are ..Raising Voyagers!

So beautiful!! I must admit that each time you walk backwards with the wheelbarrow near the edge, my heart skips a beat - week - I wish there was a railing!!
Hello from Greece. I am contractor and salute the brothers of arms there 😅. Nice work.
The space outside your bedroom would make a greate greenhouse space. So that it can be used both as a sitting area and a greenhouse all year round. Pluss the winter sun would also be a source of heat as passive solar has been a forgotten technology in the modern world. Imagine the smell of roses and fruits that travel through the house. I personally like Wisteria grapes which bloom 3 times a year. The purple color so beautiful. Your idea with the rugs would still work with the green space. Soon I am going to build my dream cottage of stone and glass. So I can bring the outdoors inside so I can enjoy all year round.
Sunday mornings, cup of coffee, in front of the TV waiting for your video. Already looking awesome, letting my imagination out there thinking what would I do if that was my balcony hum, first thing comes to mind is a jacuzzi. Saluti a tutti voi da Miami

The valley you guys live in is absolutely beautiful. Always love the long shots of it, keeps me daydreaming of an escape to Italy. Love the prgress on your home, its really starting to come together.
This process has been so fun for us, too. It is going to be so fun to see it decorated. Keep the videos going.
It is raining and “we are not letting us get it down”…love that you are mixing in the Italian sentence structure with English … I am studying Italian and I do the same thing … and like you said, I also forget English words and now am misspelling English words … ah la lingua Italiana è bella!
Here is some interesting information. Roman Concrete was not always poured wet. It was left somewhat dry in the mix. What would happen is that if the concrete were to crack, water would seep into the cracks saturating the dry mix. This in turn would straighten the structure without having to tear it all down. A very clever idea for areas prone to earthquakes.
An insane amount of hard work, i applaud your drive, makes for very entertaining videos too
Forgot to mention... Brady, I LOVED watching you share coffee using the wheel barrel!! That was a great idea and brought a great smile to my face for such a coool way of showing hospitality to your co-workers.😁😁 I miss Expresso in Italy! Must get myself one of those!

Don't give up guys. Your are great and brave. My husband and I went through the same thing 27 years ago when we decided to come to Italy and live there. We did a lot of work on our house but we were lucky because my father was a constructor in Italy and he took care of everything. We are proud of our choice a grateful of what we have created here. Great progress. The top and bottom rebar mat took me back to my youth! Decks gonna be absolutely lovely! Well done indeed.
It’s too bad that not more people on the internet know about your channel, I think it just might be the best channel out there today. Right now, watching you all do the stone work is not only interesting but amazing also. I want a stone house now too but I live in SW Florida. Haha. I am Roman Catholic and I have a habit that every time I pass in front of a church or if I hear church bells ringing, I make the sign of the cross. Whenever watching your videos, I am constantly making the sign of the cross ✝️. Hahaha. One last note, where have the kids been? You are documenting your life so the kids should be there every step of the way also. Take care and God Bless your family and your workers. ❤️
Heather, you look fabulous in that plum colour!!!
The local craftmans that you found have been doing such a great job, and I am sure that they appreciate that you just get in there and work right along with them, not to mention how greatful they must be for the coffees.
When you complete your house it will be the safest home and most expensive one in the area.👍❤️😃
I absolutely LOVE watching the house coming along, and seeing how these things are done. That terrace is going to be a dream!
You sure are getting your moneys worth out of that mixer! The rebar lacework is solid 💪🏻! Love the locals appreciation of your coffee making skills! 🤣🥰

oh Brady, I loved the coffee going up in the wheelbarrow, good move!
It feels like you have mixed enough concrete for the hoover dam. 😂
I’m so grateful for all you hard working men willing to do this kind of amazing work.
I love your home, I love the place. The town, church bell, hills, the valley, snow covered mountain, the cold weather. Perfect. They say, ' your life could be someone else's dream.' Surely this is my dream. Love from Darjeeling.
I can hardly imagine how exhausted you must be! What a feat! You are amazing, Bradey, Heather and fellow craftsmen. You will have such a sense of satisfaction when the house is complete and you get to enjoy a wine on the terrace gazing at that view. ❤
When my husband and I were first married we used a Bialetti espresso pot for our coffee every morning. I love the memories when you make your coffee for your breaks!
You are very brave I am 77 years old and I would not attempt to but in my younger days I probably would have lots of prayers for you and for the people that are working with you
I am happy for all you for the progress of building your patio or terrace. I believe a pergola with a grapevine tree will go perfectly with the floor seating. I can’t wait to see it all finished. Good luck and God bless ❤
