Finishing the BIGGEST Bowl I've Ever Made!

Ойын-сауық

This is the second half of this video: • Satisfying bowl carving
This bowl started as 30" diameter Black Walnut tree that was felled recently and was offered up as firewood on the marketplace. I filled the trunk and back seat of my Subaru Impreza with as much as I could fit without bottoming out my car. I took one of the largest pieces I had and split it down the pith, one half went on to become a mix of bowl blanks and spoon blanks and the other became this beautiful bowl.
After over 30 hours, an undersized adze, a carving axe, multiple bowl gouges, a hook knife and a sloyd knife, I give you the finished product! This project was a beast and it took its toll on my body and soul but I am proud of what I've created from firewood.
Let me know what you would use this bowl for in the comments!

The adze and large bent gouge are from Jason a Lonon, a blacksmith in the US. The carving axe is from Robin Wood
