Mad Mike had the same diff explosion on his 4 rotor RX7 while drifting in the World Time Attack Challenge international drift competition in Sydney on year. There's a awesome photo of when it exploded and the oil ignited from the flames shooting out the exhaust causing a massive fireball as big as the RX7 for a second or so. His diff was factory FC and a spectator donated his own FC diff from the carpark and Mike's mechanics had it out in 5 mins.

This was an amazing video. Happy birthday Mike! Your cinematography skills are superior
