Your videos are very useful. Thanks for posting such. Could you please tell me if if use the quantum tablet in my Bosch dishwasher, does it mean i dont need to add salt and rinse aid. It said that the table contains all of them. Another related question is that if i already load the dishwasher with rinse aid and salt, can i still use the quantum tab. Will be an overdose of salt/rinse aid give that the tablet also contains all of them . A bit confused on what to use. Please help

HI Inigo! Thanks :) It all depends on your water situation. If you soft water, you can just use the tablet. If you have hard water, you will need salt inspite of using the tablet. Your dishwasher manual will have instructions on what the salt setting needs to be for different water TDS levels. For example, in my case i use a table along with salt as the TDS level is high in my area. You will come to know the minute the dishwasher is not getting enough salt - your wash quality will deteriorate. As for rinse aid - it can be optional. Rinse aid is used for better drying and shine. You can stop using it and see if the drying is sufficient for you. If not, continue to use rinse aid, try a lower setting. Unfortunately with dishwashers, there is no one answer that works for all. It is a trial initially till you get the combination right. I have not heard of issues with overdose.

Hi sowmya i made a mistake bought crystale tablet for two thousand rupees in my area water quality is too soft i used previously this tab alone the results was horrible with white chalky deposits over dishes then i top up with salt and rinse aid though the results was not satisfactory kindly suggest me what to do

Hi Praveen, I may consider making a video on this. So a dishwasher gives multiple settings for different hardness levels. This is measured in mmol/l. If you get your water tested - they may tell you what the mmol/l is in your area. Based on dishwasher you are using - it supports upto a certain level of hardness. For example - a faber one which Inuse supports upto 9.8 mmol/l. If your hardness level is beyond that - you may need an external water softener. Else the dishwasher with the salt will do the job.

I have not had water tested but have done trial and error to find what is the best setting for my house.

Very useful video... how did you choose to buy Faber and bosch? Any specific reason ? I am confused between faber and bosch..

Hi Priyadarshini! My choice of Faber at the time was necessity (or desperation) as no other models were available :D I bought it at 6am after 1st lockdown of Covid and at the time, only Faber was available. I did not do research at the time - just bought to satisfy a need. But I'm fairly happy with it.

Hi Priyadarshini, Both Bosch and Faber service is good in Bangalore. Service at the end of the day depends on your location. Faber technology is equivalent to Bosch or in some instances better than Bosch. But definitely Bosch has been around in the market longer and has much more credibility than Faber in the dishwasher space.

Hi, I am new to dishwasher world. During installation demo, they gave me tablets and they added rinse aid. I have been using it for 5 days now by adding tablets alone. I heard tablet includes salt.. Or should I also add salt explicitly along with tablet? Also the guy never mentioned about detergent, is it alternative to tablets? How should we use detergent, is it powder form or its again a tablet form? Your reply would be very helpful.

Hi Aakash, in general - when you use the tablet you don’t need salt and rinse aid. But - it depends on the water hardness level in your area - whether you need additional salt or not. Harder the water, more salt the dishwasher consumes based on the settinf you set for salt. If you are getting clean vessels with just the tablet - no need to add salt. If your vessels are getting completely dry (except plastics that generally don’t dry well), then no need for rinse aid. Detergent is alternative to tablet. It is in powder form. And if you use detergent- definitely need to add salt and rinse aid.

Hi Anil! I find Finish tablet to be better, but a lot of my viewers have also used detergent successfully. So you may need to try out in your machine and see what works best - as a number of factors determine how good the cleaning is - including the hardness of your water.

Hi @Mohini Pujari - i find tablets work better than detergent. I have a Faber Dishwasher. There are some viewers who have recommended Finish detergent also works well for LG.

I have been using LG dishwasher for more than 1 year. As Dishwashers have salt and Rinse Aid compartments to soften water and make the utensils dry, we may easily dispense with costly Tablets. I use only 7 to 12 grams of Fortune detergent for single wash. Lg gives excellent wash even with detergent.

Hi. I stay in Mumbai and we don't have a problem of hard water. So I don't need to add salt if I am using a tablet. I have tried this brand Fortune as well as Finish. No difference in wash quality at all. I am not sure how it would work in areas with hard water but people from Mumbai should definitely try Fortune tablet. I need to add rise aid but no salt. Fortune tablet available for Rs 14 per tablet or so....a lot cheaper than Finish

Hi how does finish tablet that you showed compared with Finish Powder. I am using finish powder till now with rinse aid and salt. But wanted to know if there is any dramatic improvement in cleaning or smell for which I can switch to more expensive finish tablet.

Hi Shikhil, I have not used Finish powder. Although the tablets say we don’t require rinse aid or salt - the machine still asks for it. I have also noticed that if salt is less or not used, washing is not done properly. So if you are planning to stop using rinse aid / salt when you switch, that may not give best results and hence you will continue to need those. How is the performance with Finish powder? The finish, cleaning and shine with Finish tablet is very good.

@@TheGrapevineIndia I have used finish power, and it is satisfactory results, Only tea pan it is not as good, but in tea cups almost always cleans properly. Also noticed that the smell after cleaning sometimes is not as good. Will try tablet sometime to have better comparison.

Hi, actually I don’t. I just put it directly in the dw. I do keep the heavily soiled ones in the bottom rack - including tea and milk vessels - so it comes out very clean.

What about fortune brand? Is it good??

Hi Saran! I found finish very good but most expensive. Otherwise Crystale is cheaper but good as well, but leaves white residue in some dishwashers.

Dishwasher operating cost is linked directly to the softness of the water available.. In Trivandrum, Kerala we have extremely soft water.. I use only about 13g of fortune detergent per wash... Our voltas beko has a half load function and although the washer is full, we operate in half load eco mode... I have an energy meter and it uses only around 0.6 kWh per wash... I am pretty much convinced that it is because of the soft water...

Hi I recently tried this new brand called baigo on Amazon and it's the best detergent I have ever tried... it's way better than the expensive tablets.... do give it a try 😊😊

Hi Soumya, watched this video (which was shot in Aug 2020) and I must say you have come a long way in terms of content presentation. The experience shows :-) Have you also compared Finish tablets with Bosch tablets ? What's your feedback ? Also, which salt would you prefer for the dishwasher ? One small suggestion for your upcoming videos - a smile (and reduced stiffness) will make it better

Haha I just went back and saw that! It was probably my second video on the channel. I feel much more confident talking to the camera now. Thanks for your feedback, I am trying to reduce the stiffness - it's still a work in progress :D I've pretty much stuck to finish after trying out these other two. I got the best results with Finish - and I use the Finish dishwasher salt and rinse aid as well.

Fortune Detergent & Tablets are best & most economical too, I've been using since 5 years, easily available on amazon

This Fortune did not work for me..the dishes were soiled or had the white haze.but Arnigo did it well..

Hi Sameera - that depends on the water hardness levels. For example - I stay in a place where water is predominantly hard water. So I do use the dishwasher salt. If not, you don’t need it as per tablet manufacturers.

Yes I do. I tried once without it, but preferred the finish with it. Better drying and shine.

Hi Mr Advani, I use the Finish Powerball amzn.to/3kIE2QM which costs about Rs 25 per tablet. I don’t have any issues with that. Classic I have not tried yet.

FINISH CLASSIC POWER BALLS is absolutely rubbish. I recently bought a 110 tablets mega pack through Amazon. It is forming white coat on steel vessels. The coat is more when dish washer is run at elevated temp. Previously I was using FINISH ALL in ONE TABLETS which worked well. Also FINISH QUANTUM is very good. Now I am trying a new brand named CLEOX. Let me see how it works. I tried another brand named ASTONISH which is a UK brand. It’s also giving same problem. Forming white coat on vessels. Now, I ordered VIM tablets now. Will see and post my review.

@@raindrops9845 I tried VIM tablets and currently using it daily. Reasonably good. No white coat on vessels. Price wise, not so cheap but relatively cheaper than FINISH QUANTUM MAX OR FINISH QUANTUM TABLETS. YOU MAY TRY buying small pack of 24 tablets initially. It is imported product MADE IN FRANCE.

Content is good, be little energetic
