Y'all in the comments saying she shouldn't leave in the coils or she'll get locks. It won't if she keeps them MOISTURIZED, STRECTCHED, and sleep in a bonnet her hair will be fine. It's not about the style, MAINTENANCE IS KEY!
I've never done finger coils because the thought of detangling them actually gives me anxiety 😓😓😓

ha same. I'm basic all i do is twist outs & braid outs tried bantu knots once and hair was a matted mess (of course i did something wrong)
I used to beg my mum when I was 9yrs old to thread my hair, I would beg hair and even prepare the thread, the comb, the pillow and will get all ready. I would even behave all week long! I wasn't born in my parents home country (DRC) but loved African hair threading. That was my intimate moment with my mum and our rich culture! Thanks for the great video xx.

@TatzRules Yayyou dont know if she doesn't know lingala and not every congolses person speak lingala. That's a whole common misconception. It depends on the tribe her parents come from and that is her native language. My native language is kikongo and lingala but I only know lingala

@I have no personality outside my sexuality I am fluent in French & Lingala (plus my parents tribal language). African threading is a protective style, do not worry, there's no damage.

@@digthewarmth i’ve done this once and left them in for 2-3 weeks before and they were pretty messy (took them down because so much comments were talking about it locking). for reference i have very thick multi textured 3c-4c hair and the comb out in shower was so easy. personally the 4b area was easiest to comb out. just ends to roots after it’s all wet 👍🏼. i’d say try it for yourself first and monitor when u think is best. personally i’m pretty sure i could keep this style for like a month or 1.5 months. gonna do them again tomorrow

I liked it!😍 But so time consuming!🙄
Tell me why I just had my mom do finger coils on my hair last night and then I see this video the next day. I LOVE finger coils 😍 Yess they do take awhile
I wanna try this just as soon as I find out how you take em out.

AfriJay Jay You wet it then condition it (rinse out) and it'll unravel on its own and you do your regular finger detangling/combing. You can then do your regular routine (shampoo and condition again)

I love the thickness of your hair! I love doing coils on my fine hair. Thanks for the upload
I have been waitingggg on this video 😩
I was just attempting this on a young kid who had them but they were about six months grown out.. two hours in he bailed. An when you said this was taking forever...i felt that...boy did I.
Hey girl! What lipstick are you wearing? Looks so good on you
Thanks for taking my request!!! I love it!
Thank you for doing this video. I have the same hair texture as yours. And this gave me an idea of what it would look like. If I tried this style ❤
I have done finger coils before and my hair is shorter than yours and it takes forever 😭but I love how they turn out,and your hair looks so healthy 💖
Idk why I love watching you My hair is not even 4c I literally watched everything and you on repeat
Honeyyyy you’ve came a long way😭😍
I did this when I was considering locking. It took longer than 4 hours and it looked really nice but.....nahhh...took them out and changed my mind from locks. One thing I did different was use hair clips to weigh down each coil until it set so the look was more neat. Exhale....i think it took 2 days...i did them really small....definately was a journey....not going back

Denyse Denyse I thought about getting my natural hair stylist to do them but one reason I love going to her is that she is relatively quick. I feel like she would be valid in charging me $200-300
You are my go to person when it comes on to natural hair
only 3 videos in and im in love with your channel !
Hey chizi! You are so beautiful 😍 😍😍 I love how you handle your hair
Thanks for taking one for the team! 4 hrs! Lawd!
What does it look like with bigger pieces coiled
Hello could you tell me where I can get the blower u are using?
Your hair came out amazing 🤩
Looked really good especially at this length
I Literally just watched like 5 of your videos back to back. Where have you been all my natural life 😭.
Finger coils save me when I want to do a "wash n go" for my 4c hair. I take some random small pieces & coil them. Then throughout the week I uncoil them for some poppin definition. I think this works better for shorter hair.
Looks gorgeous, esp with the front 💕
So how do you unravel the coils? Please do a video on that please.
Girl, that hair is cute!!! You didn't need a wig on that.
wow.. i just did these in my hair! im on my third day and my hair is full of flakes BUT its soo cute!
Ok with putting the coils in, but, how do you remove them? That is my question they are beautiful once they are finished. Taking them out they would stay in at least a month, and again, how do you take them out without breaking them off, and tangles galore.
LOL when it got to 2:58 I related so hard. I did some over the weekend and flat twisted the front just like you did. it took me just under 4 hours. I loved that you tried something new though Chizi. Thanks for the video!
I love this look on you !💞
How long do these say in? How much breakage occurs when you take these out? And what's the best way to prevent it?
I did almost half of my head and gave up. No ma’am.🥴 Takes a lot of patience, but yours turned out very pretty.
I really love these videos so helpful not just for me but my kids also my hairs just super big and wavy curls but if I bursh the curls obviously it turns to frizz lol my daughter has ringlets & I try to keep her natural so great channel cheers gorgeous!!!!💐💐💐💐

It took me about me about 1to 1 1/2hrs but my hair is shorter and not as dense as yours. I love it.
I LOVE THE RRSULTS ON YOU!!! I was going to try this, but 4 hours lol. I'd rather someone do it for me. Did your fingers ache atall? Thank you for sharing, as always 😀😀
Can Uu try ORS Curl Unleshed the line I've tried the leave in conditioner on my 4c hair and girll Ii love it.
I have 4c kinks and I used that size and I started with a twist and half of the way down I started the coil and they looked good and stayed in for 2 weeks and I only had to take a handful of my moisturizer and rub through once I wore a cap at night and got up and go shook my head it was so convenient I do it all the time.❤
I did this after my big chop grew to a decent length and I loved it but it took about an hour or two then so I'd NEVER attempt it now. You're more patient than I am !
I love your make up here hun n I've never tried finger coils before but i think i will
I have a question, why you use oil before moisturizer? I ask because everyone I talk to or every other video I watch, people say to use the moisturizer first before oil so oil seals the moisturizer in. what's your experience? Do you think differently?
So cute on you! Finger curls were one of the first hairstyles I ever tried as a loose natural after I combed out/cut my locs. They were cute but were a bear to detangle when it came to washday a week later. I vowed to never again do them. 😓
I just started my natural hair journey, so there are a lot of things I dont know. Is the Q Redew something that is helpful with this natural hair process?
Love your hair!! 4c gang
I've never done this before. How do you take them down? You gotta unravel them one by one?
this hairstyle is so pretty. i want to do it
Flawless!!!!!!
Beautiful......I did this to my hair about a month ago and had such a hard time with them staying in, geesh~
What color lipstick and type you are wearing. It's pretty
Where you cop the streamer???
It literally looks so cute u should wear omg
I will definitely be trying this...... thx chizi 😘
You are hilarious. Your hair looks gangsta at this length!
Was that a oil u mixed whats in it
When she said this is taking forever I felt that...
Yess, they look cute!
The eyebrows😍😍😍😍
What is the device you used called?
I wanna do it so bad but im scared i d get to lazy to take it out and it d loc
I tried this before and it didn't turn out how I wanted but I still liked it and I got a lot of compliments. I just threw on one of those hats not a beanie but yea put it like on top .. Super cute 🙌🏾😍
But finger curls are like twist out they look amazing when done but they give my arms and hands a workout I need to rest them after I do them 😊👍💪🏽😬
I finger coiled once too and it took me 3.5hrs. It was shrunken but lasted a while. But I won't be doing it again, at least not for a while. My arms were sore and my feet were tired from standing so long! Plus taking them down, detangling them wasn't fun at all. But thanks for taking the time to make this video for us.
OMG i literally have been seeing so many finger coiling videos that i did my hair in coils a day ago ! And yes same experience where the kinkier part of my hair didnt take the coil well so i just twisted it. And yes the time... i mean i do have a tapered cut and the girl i watched @crtnyEsined ...her video from a year ago she said it took her 3 hours and it did for me too! I didnt use gel though i used the curls blueberry paste on top of Oyin Hair Dew leave in and shea moisture curl souffle. But love your coils and i know you are rebuilding your edges so its all good you kept the front twisted. Love the vids as always xoxox
How long did this style last
I don’t even know what type of hair that I have But my coils don’t really look this 😩😩
Thank you for trying that Chizi. I won't even do a wash and go because that looks like a long attempt. I am just going be a spectator and admirer of people brave enough to do finger coils
Wish my wavy hair can do finger coils I remember when I was younger I used to do the I'm twist that look close to the dreads that you get from the crochet braiding hair and it was time-consuming to Twisted with a comb mother jealous and there then put pins underneath it it gave me that Shirley Temple look though or Pippi Longstocking look as well it looks very nice on you I'm sure that must be KZreadrs that know how to do this style without it taking so long I love it on you it makes your hair look longer❤
What’s that hand steamer called please 😱❤️
Girl! Do not keep them in for two weeks... It will start to loc! Lol and please be careful when you comb them out. Do it section by section under warm water. I didn't this once b4 and my hair was so cute! After a few days I separated them and from doing that I created knots at the root and when I went to comb it all out it got even worse. Spent 4 hrs detangeling 😖😖😖😖

Taking out coils is as easy as wetting your hair, finger combing it out, put in conditioner, afro comb it through. Done!
This is a beautiful style on you!
I like how it turned out
This makes me feel better I did finger coils & did a coil out. Our hair looks very similar but I’m not a fan of the shrinkage either 😩
