It's tough learning about your Southern roots. My family in Mississippi had wealthy slave owners, confederate soldiers, KKK members, and a governor (which as a former high-ranking CSA military leader was not legal, but the sitting president was more interested in reconstruction than enforcing that law) that helped enact Jim Crow laws (and has many racist quotes). I have family there to this day that still believe in the Lost Cause myth. All we can do is grow by learning from history and the mistakes of others.

A little awkward, but my guess is he took it in strides. Another curious/weird fact is that Larry David apparently also belongs to Y DNA Haplogroup Q, which originates in Paleolithic Siberia and is also the most common Y DNA haplogroup among Native Americans. Enslaved Black girls/women were NOT in relationships with their enslavers. Enslavers r*ped enslaved Black girls/women. That is a FACT. You cannot rewrite history.

@cool Sally Hemming was a 14 year old Black girl. A child. That wasn’t a “relationship.” They weren’t lovers. She had no choice. It was rape. Stop trying to whitewash history. When Thomas Jefferson would routinely raped and impregnate Sally Hemings, the law stated that any children would be automatically assigned the social status of the "inferior" parent. This law was designed so that enslavers could rape any enslaved Black girl/women with no fear that their mixed-race children could claim freedom. Jefferson routinely raped Sally Hemings and was in a fraternity that encouraged the rape of enslaved Black girls/women as “punishment.” You are still trying to whitewash history. Throughout slavery white enslavers raped Black girls/women happened. Period.
