Finding the Wolf of Wall Street Countach and Meeting John’s Father! - Ep.10

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street' is one of the most iconic films of the past decade. One of the most iconic scenes of this iconic film is when Leonardo DiCaprio aka Jordan Belfort drives to the country club to use the pay phone, hopping in a bianco on bianco Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary. Two cars were used in the film, one of which was crashed - a real Countach - to make the movie as authentic as possible. The other car - the "hero" car - was driven and remained in great condition after the film. With the movie's cult following and the importance of the Countach scene, this car has transcended its automotive beauty and purpose. It is now ART.
In the constant pursuit of pairing the world’s best automobiles with the world’s best collectors, CURATED Miami has specialized in Vintage Blue Chip European Automobiles since 2016 - specifically low production cars built by the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and more. CURATED continues to pave the way for the next generation of collectors chasing the “poster cars” of their youth. Co-founder John Temerian, often called the Indiana Jones of car collecting, truly understands the importance of history, details, and provenance and CURATED is dedicated to educating and supporting new custodians, empowering them to preserve and celebrate these rare icons. Known for our inventory of some of the most rare examples of Ferarris and Lamborghinis ever produced, CURATED has a passionate global following, comprised of enthusiasts, experts, influencers and celebrities.

The term iconic is used a lot to describe cars, but the Lamborghini Countach is probably the only car that has ever transcended into a true cultural icon. I loved the story on Dennis Collins coffee walk channel about the young mechanic who saved in the 80's to buy one and how he nearly caused traffic accidents whenever he was filling it in a garage as drivers would stop their cars on the highway just to stare at it, and I bet it still stops traffic today. This car is cool and the fact that they virtually destroyed another $700k car to only show it on screen for 10 seconds just adds to the story that goes with it! It does mean that you've got another car to track down now 😁

I love the Countach LP400 because it is just unbelievable. The Anniversario with all the opulent Horacio Pagani styled body kit parts is not so much to my taste. Over the top and the body kit disguises the breathtaking original shape.

Awesome bond you guys have. Reminds me of the relationship I have with my dad. Everything I know about cars & boats I’ve learnt from him. As a know-it-all young dude, my dad and I had a lot of disagreements since I worked for him. Now I’m in my 40’s and I’ve finally realized that he was right on everything we disagreed on. Now I take him to all my offshore boat races and we spend a lot of time together. We don’t know how long we’ve got them for so might as well enjoy the most of the time we spend together.

John sir, your dad is awesome. Love the dynamic you both have. Wish I had that. I see where your love of cars came from. My love is trucks. This video moved me.

Another original, extraordinary, and Hitchcock of a drop. Loved it, and the story of the WoWS Countach.

John Sr. Is a true legend! I would love to see a documentary capturing his stories of being intimate with such a special machinery. You must tell his story in full I believe it will be a very succesful film.

0:32 that rear ¾ shot projected onto the side of the Countach is an amazing image. Took my brain a second to actually parse out what i was seeing, awesome idea to project the movie onto the car. Not something many people would have thought to do, bravo! Edit: now that I've noticed it though i can't unsee the cursor right in the middle of all of those scenes 😂
