Finding the Frequency and Class Limits with the Help of Excel in a Frequency Distribution

In this video, I demonstrate how to use Excel to order the data. If you are building frequency distributions, it is helpful to have the data in order to find the frequency more quickly. There are formulas in Excel to count the data for you, but I do not demonstrate that in this video, because I am just giving tips for when you have to do hand calculations on making the counting part easier. I also show how to find the class limits in this video.

type "=frequency(data, classes)" Note that the formula is without the quotation marks Note that classes can either be lower or upper

Hi, may I ask why my last class limit exceeds my maximum value, is it fine even though I've written and followed everything correctly

The last class limit doesn't have to be the maximum value. The maximum value just needs to be between the last class lower and upper limits, inclusive. The last class upper limit can exceed the maximum.
