The "Lord" that you may be referring to said: "Call no one on earth your Father [in a religious sense]." (Matt 23:9)

As christians we still trust in Jesus and keep faith even when faced with hardships. I’m constantly faced with financial hardships and can barely support my children but my faith in God is still strong! Please pray for me prayers are all I need. I’m a single mom, my husband passed years ago. I’m all alone. Both of my sons are autistic. My boys require a lot from me. I’m just so overwhelmed. I lost my job at Forsyth hospital for declining the vaccine. I declined because of my health conditions lupus, and heart disease. Since losing my job I’ve been struggling to support my children. I’m now waitressing and I’m grateful but I’m not making nearly enough. I feel like a failure. I’m tired of struggling. I’m already so ashamed. Having a child with autism is extremely expensive. I’m struggling to buy groceries. Struggling to pay rent. It hasn’t been easy. I know all things are possible through Jesus. I will not fear, fear is from the devil. I WILL KEEP FAITH.

I work with autistic children and I know how difficult it is for parents. Don't be ashamed because you are doing the best you can. I'm sorry life is so difficult for you. I pray that God will help you through these difficult times. You are amazing for what you do. X

I think God has been showing me that work is survival, which can feel like that, even though I pursue being a coworker with Christ. However, positive relationships at work can transform work for survival into a sense of thriving. This is especially important for those with families who need a work and life balance. God is good. I learned the sad truth of how much my Church failed me. My people are so corrupt that they inflict spiritual and psychological pain on me on purpose in order to fund a fraudulent collection campaign to hide their parish participation in the diocesan scandal. They destroy every job I get because I tried to prevent the scandal and because I know about it. So they twist the truth and hurt me. The sad part is they know I can do nothing to stop them.

SO GOOD!!!!! This talk is so apt for our generation.

That has actually always been an issue. People think you are your job and I'm like "it's work, not me". Every guy I meet loses points immediately by trying to figure how much money I make or what kind of status I can offer him through association. None. Go away 😂

I usually love your talks but I am not in agreement with your full conclusions on this . I do agree with the old notion of a vocation and purpose! . I am an early 'boomer' and I truly believe in finding your passion because that is where vocation and purpose converge. Work is about love! If you don't love what you do it will never become your true vocation. Sometimes we muck around in work for other reasons but we don't stay with it unless we find love there.

The Ritz is expensive, that idea is great cause wealthy people like special treatment. If you've got access to funds you can just handel things and they will say this "my stay there was phenomenal" and be egar to return. Most won't even need anything.

I think Americans hate their jobs because they are over worked and under compensated for all that work. I got a promotion with more responsibility and more hours... my pay was essentially cut because my pay was made salary exempt, no increase. It's not easy to just pick up and go find another job right now. Hundreds of resumes out there, nothing but thanks but no thanks. Employers also don't want to put any effort in training an employee. So many other people are in my position.

Funny about expression, I know people on government assistance that refuse to get a job because they feel leisure activities are their passion. This guy actually draws well and could make money through art but he prefers to get drunk at the beach. Especially if he went back home where it's inexpensive, but nope. He feels he deserves Hollywood 🙄
