Majestic mountains, snow-covered trees, frozen waterfalls, what could be better? When Gavin Hardcastle invited me to journey out to the Rockies and hang out with other like-minded photographers I jumped at the opportunity. So glad that I did it was a really great trip. Made a few images and made a few new friends, what could be better?

Hello Sir! My first introduction to you and your work. Have really enjoyed ALL the videos from this trip. It's fun seeing the same trip thru the "lens" of four different photographers. Hope you guys get together and do it again at a new location! Maybe somewhere hot and with sand! Seeing Uncle Grumply in Bermuda shorts with knee high dark socks would be hilarious! I bet NicK Page would rock a pair of Speedos!! Thomas's stick legs would shine bright white thru a pair of board shorts. And Gavin.......oh gavin..... LOVE YOU GUYS! :)

Yeah, that was a beautiful shot Adam. I know you wanted something different than the same old picture, but like you said, it had great contrast between the blue and orange, and would make for a great calendar image. I'd love to have that hung up on my wall.

Loved it! Was this all shot on the nose hair trimmer? I'm considering a super light set up for a long distance through hike. I can't believe we didn't go to natural bridge, it looked great. Hope your van gets fixed 👍

Hey Tom! Yeah, I'm impressed with the quality of that little nose trimmer, the audio is not bad either. The only thing that isn't quite as good as what DJI claim is the battery life and in the cold, as you know doesn't last long. The battery is built in so you would have to carry some kind of battery to charge the unit. Other than that I like it a lot. The Van? Oh boy, I have some major repairs in store, the extreme cold is not kind to vehicles that for sure.

Great video as per usual Adam! I understand what you mean with these overdone shots in the Rockies, they have so much more to offer than Morraine lake, Lake Louise, or Emerald Lodge. I have been off trail through hiking in the Rockies for a number of years and the areas that we have ended up in are easily just as pretty but without the crowds! You captured one of those lesser known spots on the Opabin plateau in fall a few years back and I absolutely love those photos.

I completely agree about taking shots that have been done so many times. Emerald Lake is beautiful as is the natural bridge but there are thousands of photographs of both these locations so I often think what would I do that is any different? Maybe I just lack creativity haha.

Not a lot that you can do, but I am sure someone will come up with something out of the park and then all will copy, lol. Cheers, Mike!

I’d be grumpy too if I had a premature format. It has been interesting to see the same scenery from four different personalities and perspectives. You’re all very accomplished photographers and even though I’ve been following you all for awhile now, this adventure seems to have brought out the joy in each of you maybe a little bit more. The solitary nature of shooting landscapes is great still but there is nothing like hanging out with like-minded mates, having a coupla pints and a shitload of laughs. Well done Adam!

just FYI, you can still save those images even after a reformat. some might not get rescue but it is always worth the effort. The less you re-use the disk the better. So if it happens again put the card to the side and use an image rescue application when you get back to headquarters/ the cabin or whatever. I have watched all the vids that you and the guys have made on this trip and between you and i, i like your images the best, please don't tell anyone. Cheers
