There are so many other places he should have gone in the UP! The beautiful Pictured Rocks near Munising is awe inspiring. Kitch-iti-kipi near Manistique is a hidden gem. Waterfalls are great up north, as well.

Shhhhhhh
go to the porcupine mountains!!! you will not be disappointed in the slightest, it is absolutely breathtaking!!!
To be honest, this clip does not do it justice. Even better and prettier in person.
Moved here from Florida in 2017 and love it! No traffic, no noise....
Bonesy and Chris were both people I've met in Copper Harbor. Really great down to earth people with a passion for the U.P.
I would like to visit Upper Peninsula before I die. I'm from Finland.

The UP is from Finland. :)
I crossed that bridge around 1972 and never looked back, it is a place that takes me away from the rest of the busy World, it is not easy to live in the UP but the rewards...oh the rewards. There is sooo much more to see! Your journey started at Marquette if you do choose to come back make sure to check out the other 60% of the UP! We are waiting!🙂
2:44 starry skies, and howling wolves. 🤩That is quite the wilderness mood. 🐺
Can’t believe Pictured Rocks wasn’t featured.
I live in the upper peninsula and love it 😀

I have a Cabin in Paradise Michigan - Have been going since I was a kid. The UP is truly comparable to a more accessible and safer Alaska with it beautiful landscape. If you've never been I highly encourage you to go during the summer!
I really want to visit Isle Royale and camp there. I was lucky enough to visit Mount Bohemia last winter and loved our road trip through the UP. Great documentary btw, thanks for sharing.
What a gorgeous place
My great grandparents were Michettis, Italian immigrants from Tourin who settled in Calumet where my great grandfather worked in the copper mines. I loved it the first time I was there. I love to stay in the motel in Copper Harbor that has just simple turn locks-- like a bathroom -- on its rooms. But the rooms are all along the lakeshore. Were it not for the harsh winter, I would live there. I have been to many shores around this country and the shore of Lake Superior is my favorite. I long to be there...
My parents went exploring and there are some beautiful hidden waterfalls. I heard that it is one of the few mostly unadulterated places in USA.

Yes, I agree. I’m from there, and it’s one of the few unspoiled parts left in the country.
I live here in the upper peninsula Michigan

What better crew to represent both interests. Marquette wants to preserve, nat geo does too.
There is so much more to the U.P. My favorite place to me. I hope you take the opportunity to see each season. Winter Carnival in Houghton University., Each City is amazing.
Qué lugar tan hermoso
Reminds me a lot of Finland, such a homey atmosphere watching this cool video.
Born and raised in Marquette never heard of nor referred to it as The Yoop......

From iron mountain, also never heard anyone ever say "the yoop". I thinks it's just that one lady made that up.

Really? We say it all the time, I live by Chatham.
I live here and it is majestic.
Pure Michigan pays for the first hit of up north, but you're on your own after that. Sturgeon River Gorge, Huron Mountains and Porkies are arguably best parts that you didn't see.

Thank you
nice video
When people think of Michigan they automatically think of Detroit or flint. Those are only two cities. This is the real Michigan
You are very nice to share here.
I grew up in Bessemer michigan ❤
The only thing is Big cats are coming back in the UP in Michigan.
Nice
No love for Escanaba, eh... 😂
What about the Universities?
1:31 I jumped off those rocks on the left side
👍👍👍👍
It’s not the yoop. It’s DA YOOP
What-no sauna?
👍😮👌 0:37
Nooks bouldering and Jeff's world didn't get mentioned, sad.
This is open proof that NG stopped being journalistic in any sense years ago. The closest thing to a positive to this is that it's labeled as an ad, but I'm assuming that's more being scared of being demonetized by KZread.
The UP is terrible. Do not go. Keep going to Florida and Myrtle Beach.

Lol, definitely not. The major cities, sure. But the other 90% of the state, nope. He won MI in '16
Would have been better without that voice.
