So glad I stumbled upon your channel, I haven't played madden NFL in y-e-a-r-s. In fact I still have my ps2 2004, that window to sell it closed long long ago, I'd only get (back then) maybe 3 bucks for it and that's being hopeful. so yeah it really is 20 years since I played madden, not sure why I quit, even with the changes in console platforms I've gotten, I just didn't want to play madden anymore. I game on PC, laptop, X box s, it wasn't until EA gave a discount on the '24 madden that I decided to try it out again. Just hearing you talk about re signing players is exactly how I talk about free agents and contracts (Oh you don't want to re sign with my team, get the hell out of here then). Thanks for your play guides and videos much appreciated.

Thanks! I have a PS2 emulator on my PC that has all those old Madden games on! I don’t blame you for not playing the game since it just hasn’t lived up to the mid to late 00’s games. If it wasn’t for my unhealthy obsession with video games and football I would have said goodbye to the game years ago myself 😂

I know this isn’t even your custom slider video for cpu vs cpu but while I was watching this series I was watching my franchise at the same time, I love how it plays, the authenticity, the rotations! Tysm your content is very informative and I don’t want you to feel it’s not appreciated!!!!

Hey been watching your vids since your texans franchise but never commented mostly cuz i found it near the end and had to binge watch most of them but i just wanted to say glad you're doing a Bucs franchise, theyre my favorite so im definetely gonna be tuned in for this one! As for the preseason question (if it's not too late) i think instead of playing all the games on camera, maybe play them off screen then make a highlight video of each game like an espn highlight reel or something showing not just the scores but any kind of significant play of a decent gain or big defensive stop, turnover, or a rookie showing out for both teams playing.

I'd like to see the preseason, especially with how great this draft was I think it's definitely worth watching to see how these rookies do and who gets to start. Also, the bears drafting that corner with 47 injury hurt my soul as a bears fan but i'm used to it sadly....

Hey man, thank you so much for your videos! You got me back into madden after many years away and im loving it. Could you do a video on how to choose qb archetype/playbook/scheme etc? I just starting my franchise with the falcons, did the fantasy draft start so i have josh jacobs, jalen hurts, and jerry jeudy, along with a few other good picks (huge bama fan) now im trying to run the spread offense with the 4-3 under defense. My playbook is Dallas and Miami respectively. But id love to see other good combos i should test out/ build towards. Like would i be better off with an improviser qb over scrambler?

Thanks man! I’m glad to hear you have found fun with the game again. The QB and playbook situation is really complicated when it comes to cpu play. This year scramblers seem to work well and so do field generals. I believe I do have some information out there about playbooks and schemes in my Madden 23 tips playlist that you could check out. Most of that will still carry over to this game!

Great off-season and draft. I'm curious if you go with the Bears playbook or another teams...

TB is my favorite team. Which is how I found your channel with you doing a Bucs franchise. I’m in the process of doing my own. Just finishing my second season. I have so e if the same moves and thoughts as you during your season. But I also made a lot of different moves than you did. I kept Evans bc I never believed he was going anywhere else. And he’s been ridiculously good. 1,500+ yards in two seasons. Rachaad white is a beast. One season as league lead in rushing. Another top finish. At the half way point of season 1 I wasn’t doing well. So I traded Baker for Malik Willis and made him my QB. So like you, I made a trade for a QB. Only bc Willis was on the block. That’s the only type of players I’d trade for. He’s been like Lance. Up and down as a passer. But he’s amazing as a running QB. Palmer is good. And he’s great in the return game. Had 2 TDs rookie year. 1 the next. Cut Gage due to his contract. Durham has turned into a good TE for me. Much better than Otton OL injuries are definitely an issue. Kancey and Diaby are great. Building well. Barrett definitely showing his age. Vea is awesome. TFL machine. David is the stud of the defense. Two years in a row 2nd in the league in tackles. Then 1st and 2nd in INTs I traded Devin White bc in real life he requested a trade. Don’t want to be in TB. And this offseason he’s gone in real life anyways. I put him on the block. Eagles offered me Nakobe Dean and a 2nd for White and 4th. I took it. Dean has been very solid and a good blitzing MLB. Traded Davis due to his contract. I needed cap space. Dean is great. Izien I turned into a very good player. Couldn’t resign AWJ 😭 Overall the defense had great individual performances. But gave up the most yards. Most points. Most rushing and passing yards. Worst defense in the league two years in a row. My focus players were Diaby, Izien and Durham all season for both the first two seasons. Second season I added in a couple rookies. I also added a mentor TE, CB and edge player to help boost them. And wow. That’s helped a lot. I did resign Evans which means I’m letting Godwin go bc I can’t afford him with the Evans deal. As a Bucs fan, as much as I like Godwin in real life, I had to let him go in favor of Evans. And I had to bring David back on as many 1 year deals as he wanted. We are currently in the SB and he’s going to retire after this season 😢 Love the channel. Looking forward to seeing what you have coming up in the next season (I have some catching up to do lol)

I wish I would have been following this at the time , but Indianapolis is my go to with scrambling QB's. I am currently running it with Kyler Murray and it plays very good. It is similar to Baltimore but not all in on the QB running every play. It runs a lot of RPO and some QB options but still runs good passes and stretch runs. If you are ever messing around with a scrambler give it a look , I think you will really like it.

What I like doing as a house rule is u have to run scheme and playbook off your coordinators

Yes Tyler Huntley is from dania beach Florida before he went to utah he had 8 different offers 3 of them were Florida teams which was south Florida fiu and Florida Atlantic and the other offers for Huntley was akron Louisville and Duquesne and Cincinnati and Appalachian State

Does runnings a different scheme from the playbook your using does it affect cpu play calling or playstyle? Just curious bc I prefer spread scheme.

there is no 100% proof that it does or doesn't. I believe that I see changes in my play calling or player decision making when I run different schemes with the same book. I usually look for books that have a good play call script that can run the schemes I want to use. Spread is one that is difficult to work because it needs certain play calling to function at its best.

If I could I would but once the game starts I just throw it in supersim slow and watch the game. There isn’t a way of doing that while watching unfortunately

As for the 5th year option, I know in the past that the cpu never picks up the 5th yr. Has that changed that you know of. If not, I have never done the 5th yr only to stay competitive with the cpu

@@RamsHouse102 the higher the difficulty the more the game has to conform the ratings and traits to give the illusion of the difficulty so the thought behind it is all madden turns everyone up and rookie turns everyone down. pro/all pro is a more balanced approach to it.

Yooo CB. Going into the 2nd year of the franchise I drafted 4 rookies with hidden dev. Unfortunately none of them were superstar or x-factor. All 4 were star dev

I’d say to do the pre season. And I know that this doesn’t matter a lot, but you should edit the equipment of the rooks so they don’t look dumb.
