Finding God's Heart - Week 2

Ойын-сауық

This week we learn the weaknesses of King Saul. The biggest difference from Saul and David was their heart. Understanding Saul's life sets us up to embark on the journey that is, 'the life of King David.'
After watching the sermons we encourage you all to reflect (self or with your brother/sisters in Christ) using the questions below.
1. Do you have a role in the salvation of others? If so, what is your role? If not, why?
2. As we see the rise of anti-Christian sentiment, how can we build courage among each other to stand up for the truth in the midst of social persecution?
Do we even have a responsibility to speak up against anti-Christian sentiment?
3. It is often said that humility is the key to God’s heart. How would you define humility and what are some tangible steps to work towards achieving humility?
4. Do you have a hard time hearing God’s voice in your life? How do you know that voice is coming from God?
5. Is it difficult for you to turn to God after you sin? Or do you embrace Him after you sin? Why do you think that is?
6. Is it your responsibility to address the sins of others? If so, how would you handle it?
This sermon is taught by our brother, Dn. Abel, during Saint Paul Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo (SPOT) Church's Sunday Service.
