Finding a Specific Coefficient or Term in a Binomial Expansion
This video looks at how we can use the Binomial Theorem in order to find the coefficient of a certain term or the entire term in a Binomial Expansion. The video includes three examples and a quick review of the Binomial Theorem.

Finally a confident teacher
Bro taught a lesson in under 5 mins for me to understand rather than my teacher who makes this stuff way too complicated. Thanks, learned better here than sit in class for 1 hour and half abt this
your voice is very soothing and when you yawned i laughed xD
Thank you so much man my teacher explained this so poorly and you helped me out so much for my test next week
I am shocked at how well this was explained, I actually let out a sigh of relief! I finally understand this! Thanks you!!!
Tysm! I’m trying to prepare for finals and this really helped
Thank you! This video helped a lot!
I am so grateful and I feel so confident!!
this made it so much easier omg thank you!
Perfect. Thank you very much for this.
Really helpful ❤
Very helpful, thank you
Thank you so much you just saved my grade
i love this i understood in a pan of a second
thank you so much, my final is tomorrow and I did not understand it until now.
great video!
You explained this so much better THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please help me find the coefficient of x^2012 in the polynomial f(x) = ∏[x^(2^k) + 2^k] product from k = 0 to k = 10.

@@bryanramirez460 ay bruh I’m just invested in knowing whether this guy found it or not
So my a is (x^-1). And they want the coefficient of the term containing x^12 So it would have to be -12 times -1 for the exponents So then I’ll have (x^1)^-12 But you can’t put that negative 12 in a combination so now I’m confused ? Like you can’t say 8 choose negative 12?

Hmmm...I'm confused too... Can you tell me more about the problem...or the solution if you already found it?

@@MartyBrandl so they gave me (1/x-2x^3) And I had to find the term containing x^12. It’s a binomial expansion problem and I was trying to do it a certain way, I ended up solving it with the binomial expansion triangle thingy, and I got my answer. It was like -1790 or something like that.

thank youuuuu!
Wow. Nice vid very easy to understand. Youve just earn a subscriber

Thaaaaaaanks mate!
But wt if only the coefficient of a binomial is given and asked to find the specific term(s)......

If we think about it, how many ways can we pick 1 from a group of 4? 4 ways, each one individually makes up the 4 groups. I hope that helps! Keep after it! :-)

nCr: n!/ r!(n-r)! u can use this to solve for the combination
wait... how can you have a x raise to 12 in a binomial that only has 5 exponent? im confused????
@MartyBrandl

When we have a power to a power we multiply the exponents. So (x^3)^4 gets us the x^12. I hope that helps! Keep working at it! You can do it! :-)
