Instagram- AdamTheWooATW There’s not too much of these places in central Florida that I gave by covered so it’s nice to stumble in this spot . I need to hit the road soon but for now I’ll try to find more of these hidden gems. Honestly feel trapped when it comes to small town stuff in Florida, it’s buried down away from the rest of the country and over run with developments

@naybur74 Maybe I will get back to making videos from my channel and go up there. If there are a lot of similar war battles and a few Civil War skirmishes. I took a few years off to write a history book which I am trying to get published now. So this will be a good opportunity for me to make new videos. I think Adam would benefit from the maps I made and information I have because there's a lot of little interesting places around.

The one with the Baptist Church with the nearby motel-like structure may have also had a pool given the odd oval with a patch of grass and a slide that looks like an old pool slide. So many spooky properties that make you wish they could talk. Wondering how long you are going to be able to resist your wanderlust.

LOFF-MAN Buddy. Familiar with that area but you always find the stuff that no one sees :) The whiter (sugar sand) you see on some beaches and random places in central florida has a higher level of natural quartz in it that washed down into the gulf of Mexico from the Appalachian area and got deposited and over millions of years became grains of sand. Pretty cool if you think about it. Your basically walking on ground up bits of million year old rock from the mountains around Gatlinburg, TN right here in Florida.

You are a hero of sorts to people (like me) because you have the time to go on all these adventures all across the country. There are plenty of topics and things yet to explore other than the crowded theme parks and conventions and I hope you might visiting some of these sometime: A Civil War re-enactment. A role-playing game location (stores that have weekly gatherings to learn and play games like D&D and such). Since you're in Florida...Gasparilla (try the Yacht Starship for that and avoid the insane crowds and parking issues). A visit to the first Hooters (in Clearwater!). When you go to St. Louis to catch the Rays play the Cards...gotta hit Imo's Pizza (St. Louis' own unique style of pizza). Just some ideas for ya.

I've always been fascinated by abandoned buildings, something about it when there is no people and nature takes over and merges with them. Some of my favorite photos and footage ever taken were in such places. In a way this reminds me of some of the footage of the Detroit area (which has a bunch of abandoned buildings for obvious reasons), even though Florida and Michigan can be quite different even in terms of architecture. Love this.

Great vlog, thank you. Is there nothing sadder than an abandoned, falling apart playground? Although it would make for some great ghost stories. The chains of the swings rattling on a windy night is the sound of children from the past, playing. Or the screeching of a bird at night is really the last cry from little Adam from 267 who broke his neck trying to ride his bike down the slide.
