For over 90 years the Museum has been enriching the lives of our visitors from the young, to the young at heart. Along Greenmanville Avenue and behind the historic buildings, lies a sprawling campus where history comes to life.
Transport back in time and immerse yourself in our recreated 19th-century seafaring village, watch craftsman at work in our working shipyard, explore world class exhibitions, get out on the water in one of our vessels, and so much more this season.

Over twenty years ago (1999) I was one of the students who helped build the Amistad and got to participate in fire rescue reenactments on the green, as well as helping with tours of the Morgan and the Conrad. These are still some of my fondest teenaged memories. I live half a world away now, but I hope someday I can bring my boys to visit the museum too.

some really enviable history here, ships and the 19th century, can't really go wrong with that.... yeah that's a pretty cool job looking after boats like this, living in history there
