We start this chess problem by facing a check to our king. From here we need to choose the right strategy to get away with victory!

Actually, the Saavedra position is an example of the basic theme of this study, where the king "walks downstairs" to escape the rook checks!
Wouldn't the Position at 5:16 be the best Study? We would have to walk our King to the Position, where this Video starts! Or doesn't it work?

Yeah, I totally agree with you! That would have been so beautiful and hard. I don't adjust any original studies in my videos but for sure, that would have been an interesting variation.
Nf6 rxf6+; Kd5 rf5+; Kd4 rf4+; Ke3 rf1; Ke2!! and white's e pawn queens on the next move😅
I recognized from an earlier puzzle having the king on e5, and black rook on f6, would be winning. Once the pattern was recognized, sacrificing the knight was the obvious move.
Fine! Although IMHO, you get a better puzzle by putting the white king in f6 in the starting position
If the rook does not take the Knight and moves rh8 then Nd7+ followed by Nf8 blocking the rook and rh6+ is met by kd7 ending the rook threat

Had to look a bit farther with Rh1; e8/Q Rd1+; Ke7 Re1+ skewer; Ne6!! finally no more rook threat.
