Very useful video! This might sound like a silly question but, can you boom a studio mic and have decent sound with it? I have the Audio Technica AT2020usb+ (cardioid condenser mic) and I'd like to use it for talking head videos but I don't want it to be in the shot. Should I get a different mic for that?

Hey. Thank you! I tryed at the behinnin to boom a suidio mic and it’s not a good option. I recommend you to use a shotgun mic if you don’t want it in the shoot. Especially a condenser mic will pick up a lot reverb if you are not close to it. Use a shotgun mic if you want to boom it! Thank you :)

Hey. I used Rode M5, Universal Audio SP-1, rode NT5, and something from Tascam but I don’t remember the name. All of theam, great microphones used in proper conditions for the proper job. Do you use them?
