Dear dis z a trick... Not our traditional method of calculating hcf.... Trick was wonderful❤️. But in schools uh can't use tricks na. U need to follow the proper way.

Evaluation for school tests are different, there we have to follow step by step approach. Tricks are good for competitive exams, where time is limited.

I teach this to my students. I really appreciate you showing this. Instead of calling it a trick, make that a step in solving for the GCF. Teachers are told not to teach tricks. This has solid math to back it up. Just explain that if you are counting by any number that is larger than the least difference, you will not be able to hit both numbers if you are counting by a number larger than that difference.
