Free ways to spy on your competition’s SEO - Take the best of your competitors SEO using a few tricks from ChatGPT as well as traditional SEO tricks. This is not an AI SEO video necessarily, but more of a way to find winning keywords and make your own content in that niche

The first, and probably best way to spy on your competition, is to find their sitemap
Finding a sitemap is fairly easy. The first thing to try is theirdomain.com/sitemap.xml - most wordpress and Shopify websites use this URL, so it’s fairly easy to find. However, sometimes people use different urls
The second way to try to find the sitemap of your competitor is to go to Google and type site:theirdomain.com intext:”sitemap”, or intitle:”sitemap”.
If this doesn’t work, unfortunately it’s harder to find their sitemap, and sometimes it’s easier to just move onto the next method.
Use search operators
If you want to gather information on your competitors, then work out their URL structure first. For example, if you just want their blog posts then do:
Site:theirdomain.com inurl:/blog/ - if their blog posts have /blog/ in them, this is an easy and quick way to spy on them.
You can do this with collections/products/categories also. Google generally shows the best ranking pages first, so this can be a good way to steal your competitors keywords.
You should use a bookmarklet to easily take the titles of your competitor’s pages, and then use Harpa AI to extract the keywords.
The final and best way
Probably the best way to do this is to pay for the SEMrush free trial. Although this is not ideal, as it requires a payment method, sometimes you have to sign up for a free trial to get the best results.
In that 7 days, you should download as much information as possible. This is extremely easy, as you can just export any pages you want from SEMrush. This is by far the best free method, but I didn’t include it towards the top because it requires a payment method
What to do once you have this information
If we’re sticking to free ways to research competitors, then we can do as follows:
Find a page using the method above
Use Harpa AI to take the keywords from the article
Put those keywords into Google Ads Keyword Planner, or Ahrefs keyword generator, or keywordtool.io
Write the article yourself and rank.
This can easily verify the keyword for you and you can see whether the article is worth making for you personally.

March 14th my impressions and search traffic dropped sharply and have stayed flatlined since. Now Google seems to be un-indexing all of my pages I created with ChatGPT. I spent the winter creating content for my local service business and Google was indexing it rapidly and in search console my impressions and clicks started to climb. Most of the pages were ranking 1-5 for their keywords. Then it dropped and my number of indexed pages has been dropping. Have you seen anything like this before? Or any ideas to possibly check. Pretty much same identical thing on my side hustle website as well so it wasn't just one site.

If you watched the video I mentioned in this video you would have found the prompt which allows you to put your focus keyword and then just press “go” on ChatGPT and you’re done
you realize those URL's are not being crawled in version 3.5. The plugins for 4 are the only way to crawl URLS. 3.5 is just reading the url name to generate keywords

When I try this, it comes up with a little warning saying this may violate some policy and then doesnt do it, i tried it with less urls which it worked but then it said it didnt have internet access so just gave me instructions on how to do it...

Sounds like a problem with the bookmark. Run the bookmark through chatgpt and ask what's up with it.
If you could figure out what Keywords are being used each month by users to find your competitors websites, that would be good.
