Finbar is one of those voices that reflects all the good and all the hardship that has made our beautiful culture

Ten years since my mum went. I’m crying still. My dad too since then. I hope they’re making each other laugh somewhere. ❤❤❤❤❤

I always think of my mum and dad when i hear finbar singing this song 😢.. such a beautiful song and so lovely sung by 1 of Ireland’s greatest legends ❤

I can't describe how this song makes me feel. It brings so many silly tear drops to my eyes. It's my folks all over. My Dad passed at 60yrs and my Mam at 61yrs old. Shit them two could argue, yet I know they were Soul Mates. I have honestly listened to this song no less than 20 times a day of late. The song and lyrics, the text from the young lady's Dad, reminds me of my folks and my two Daughters, and when she changes her reply, I can make it home this wkend Dad 😭😭😭❤❤❤

The scene with the young production assistant being so moved by Finbar’s song that she changed her text to her dad to say she WILL come home this weekend is brilliant AND the bit at 3.09 when Finbar looks up at her and winks is just pure genius and of course the song is absolutely beautiful. ( My dad passed in 1997 and my mum in 1999 so I can Identity with the sentiments.)

This song reminds me of the day my dad died in early October 2013 followed by my mother 3 years later in May 2016. Its hard to explain but it just reminds me of the two of them together.

This song breaks me every time. My mom and dad been married 50 years. Dad is dying of cancer now. I showed this to my dad last night and I walked away in tears and he looked straight ahead knowing his days are near the look will always be in my mind. Late November and early December is difficult for me having lost my Dad and 2 relatives in the same date different years and my Mum passing on the same date my Dad was buried years earlier very sad coincidences, but we carry on in hope.Bless you too
