If I want to buy Almond jai twisting butter i will spend16.99 +$8 for shipping for an 8oz product. You will need to spend $100 dollars to get free shipping. For Melanin hair care i would spend $26 total for the 16oz cream and you only need to spend $45 to get free shipping. I really do not see the issue. I am just waiting till she has more products in her line then she can take my coins.

I’ve been using the oil and cream for a week now. The oil does feel non-greasy, which is crazy!! But so far, so good. We’ll see though..... as for the shipping cost concerns I’ve read in many of the comments., my order qualified for free shipping because I ordered two creams and one oil. But as a small business owner myself, the $10 shipping is aligned with USPS and UPS rates for shipping. The cream itself weighs 1 lb 1.2oz (yep, I weighed it 😆)and depending on the shipping zone, the rates start at or around $8.35. Many companies with lower shipping just add the cost onto a product and we feel like we’re paying less in shipping, but it’s just added to the price of the product. But I wholeheartedly agree, when I saw $10 for shipping. From a consumer’s standpoint, I was like, “oh no ma’am” and in my Soulja Boy voice, “10 dollllllllars” 😂😂But then I put on my business owner hat and viewed it through a different lens....anyhow, I hope everyone is having a fabulous week thus far 🤗

I sell online and I work for this post office. That 10 dollar shipping is ridiculous. Priority shipping costs less and you don't have to pay for shipping supplies.

I didn't get the sense that she was complaining. I think the cost is an issue for many women looking for products and the great value of this relative to many other similar products is currently offset by the fact that I think it is only available online. Every bit of information isn't a dig. For products that are only available in my location online, it means I buy in bulk. When trying something I haven't used, the tradeoff is paying a lot of shipping for one item or potentially being stuck with something I don't end up using (which I've done). $26 is a lot of money for some people. So is $45. And I think we all know that shipping bulky or heavy products, or things done in smaller batches isn't cheap, b/c a regular box of stuff at the post office isn't cheap anymore either.

More black people should support (black owned) small businesses. If the price is a big issue then I understand. However, people must take into account a small business can't take a hit on shipping like a big business can. If she is working with investors l, they want to see how it sells before they just drop a whole line. Give the woman a chance.

I want that flaxseed gel too! I hope she and her chemists can come up with something that is non-perishable. I also want that aloe vera prepoo and her African black soap shampoo! I only detangle when I wash my hair every 2 weeks, so I have to go through and remove shed hairs before I shampoo.

Hope she makes it an amazon prime item at some point. To avoid paying $10 for shipping, I bought 2 jars of the cream and the visor. I rather spend that extra $10 towards one of products instead of paying $27 for one product....that’s just me tho🤷🏽‍♀️....boy I hope I like it🤞🏽.... btw nice results🙌🏽

So when things are sent using prime, they often just add the shipping costs into the product to to give you the "Free" shipping. Pay attention to that. Many things are only providing you convenience but not value. I don't order certain items using Prime b/c I'm paying several dollars more per jar/bottle etc. Not everything, but if you start tracking, you'll see what I mean (also you'll see the difference between the Prime price and the price of items sent by other sellers who don't give you "free" or "Prime" shipping.

What I don't understand about natural ladies most of the ones that I have seen is that they have crazy here they hair standing up all over they had all day all out of shape I was in the medical profession and I have natural hair and Common Sense said to me that in my profession I'm not an actress I'm not a dancer I'm not on stage I'm not in no performing business so I have to keep my hair clean smooth to my head I don't mean straighten but cascading my head so that it won't be like big hair we went through the big hairstyles in the 60s and 70s and that was black women with either wigs or white women they wore wigs also but it was called teasing they would tease the hair and put a lot of Hairspray but when you are in a job or profession that cause for your hair or call for your hair to Be Tamed and I don't mean like an animal I mean smooth to the Head looking clean and not all over the place because if you were waitress and you came to me with your hair flying all over the place I'm thinking that maybe some of that he is going to get into my food and if I was a medical assistance weathers Dental assistance make sure that your hair is clean and I appealing not in your eyes and all the people eyes also and is not people are discriminating against you because of the hair that's grown from your scalp that discriminating because it doesn't look good and I am a natural lady and I will my hair for the job that I have and that is in the medical profession and I have also worked in a restaurant and I will never have my hair flying all over the place that's for actors actresses people in the entertainment realm of life

I love how you kept it real and respectful at the same time. Your results came out great to me! 😊😊 I still have yet to order this product.

I thought it was a good honest review! I loved it, and I'm one of the people that felt like it left my hair super soft. My definition was good, but I get good definition with a couple of other products that I use, but nothing has made my hair feel the way that this did. I am not even really a fan of shea butter because I have fine strands, but I love this product. I'm excited for you to continue your testing, I can't wait to hear your next reviews!!

What product is that?

Your hair came out well. I have 5 jars of it. I did notice there was a lot of air pockets in mine and in the warm weather it evaporated to a little over 2/3 the jar for me but I'm ok with that. Whitney did a good job. I will do my video next weekend because I had experience with their customer service, shipping, and how my hair responded.

I agree with you, I have used it my definition was great but it frizzed up in no time. I live in Georgia humidity. My hair is moisturized but will definitely have to use a strong hold gel with it. My hair is soft 4 abc textures high and normal porosity. Thanks for your honest review! I will probably stick with Camille Rose because it has no glycerin. I will use my melanin sparingly for moisture.

I absolutely appreciate an honest review when the person reviewing goes in with objectivity and non-hype as the goal!! I have tried plenty of products that were super hyped and some were expensive, only to have them not work at all on my hair!!! And isn't that the bottom line....everything doesn't work for everybody so people shouldn't be so brand (person) loyal that they get mad about an honest review! Trust me when I say that as a business owner, Whitney and anyone else appreciates an honest review so that they can improve on their products to meet the needs of more potential customers!!! I have used Whitney's product line. The elongating cream is a bit too dense for my fine, dense, low porosity, hormonal issue hair! The oil is life!! I feel that once my hair decides to be healthy again and hopefully go back to being more medium to high porous, the cream will work better for me. I am super hoping that she is going to expand the line and YES, I need her to do at minimum, a flax seed gel!!! Hope this helps someone whose searching!

Thanks for being honest. I have low porosity hair and creams don't do anything for my hair either.Conditioner doesn't even do anything for my hair. My hair is naturally oily and the only reason I use oil based products is if I'm trying to achieve a specific style. I cannot use gel or mouse so I'm still gonna place an order. Other reviews said it didn't leave an oily residue.

My favorite deep conditioner and wash n go styler are $36 (for 8 Oz) and $25 (for 4 oz) respectively, so I couldn’t really complain when I had to pay for shipping. 😂😂 I love the cream myself. It made my hair moisturized, which never happens. Would you consider doing a 3-strand twist tutorial?

SheRea DelSol Also, I didn’t say this before, but I thought your hair came out really pretty. I think what I like about this cream is that I get second day hair on day one. My hair is always so shrunken on day one, and with this I get the stretch that I don’t usually get til I retwist that first night and take it down on day one.

Thank you for an honest review. Do you think the product would feel differently on your hair if you used it with just a leave-in per the instructions? I feel like a lot of the time we (ppl in general, self included) use products, not just hair products but products in general, as we see fit as opposed to how the instructions detail we should and then we don’t get the exact result we expect. I would be interested in a video where you use the product on top of just a leave-in and not LCO hair.

This worked really well for me too. I have 4b in the back, 4C in the middle n 4 whatever the hell I want to be in the front; ALL of these sections were hella moisturized and defined. I did flat twists in the back and sides and 3 strand twists in the front. I was very pleased with the product my almond jai twisting butter, which I love, comes nowhere close to this in terms of moisture and definition
