Hey it’s okay as an 11 year old sister that has a type 1 diabetic sister. It’s really hard she has this thing called a libre to see what her blood sugar is. She also has something she needs to poke to correct her libre to see if her blood sugar is okay. Her blood sugar is mostly high, and it’s stressful. But I’m glad she okay. She was diagnosed with at the age of 8 and she’s now 9. I’m so glad she made it out alive going through the stressfulness of being sick for a whole week on her birthday. But she’s happy and healthy! NO WAY, ITS A NEEDLE
I don’t know where else to share this piece of mind, so, I’ll share it here. Don’t listen to anyone who makes fun of you. For whatever reason they’re making fun of you, they are obviously the smaller person. Making fun of someone is a way for them to reassure themselves, to conform, to make them feel more “normal”. The fact they need to pick on someone to do this makes them the lesser person because everyone is different, everyone has their own quirks and their own “weird” interests that people make fun of, and being made fun of doesn’t feel good. So, perhaps, have empathy. The next time you are going to make fun of someone, think, think of how you would feel if someone made fun of that “weird” interest of yours and estranged you.

I don't really you should be happy of something like this...accepting it, being brave is Actually really good but Being HAPPY is kinda...
My sister was 12 when she was diagnosed and she hated it (still does years later (understandable)). She has a pump (in a country with Medicare) but she doesn't like the feeling of something attached to her so she lets it hang and that causes it to swing/hit stuff. The whole family cringes everytime there's a bang and we know it's from the pump. She used to have the same CGM as you but now she has the Medtronic one. I hope that with time she's able to get used to it and take care of it properly. Unfortunately, she is also partially deaf so she can't hear the beeps/alerts from the pump (makes it harder to handle by herself). Thank you for showing diabetes online and not making it seem like a "It's your fault you have it" type of thing. It infuriates me that people assume that my sister had to be overweight and/or unhealthy. She has one of the healthiest diets possible (even before the diagnosis) and is a natural/average weight for her age and height. It also angers me how little doctors know about T1D. My sister was sick a few years back (about 6 months after her diagnosis so family wasn't 100% certain in what to do) so we went to a GP. What he told us to do would've had serious consequences if we didn't know he was wrong and went through with it. Thank you and sorry for the rant/word vomit♡♡♡

A family friend of ours has one to so don't worry 😊
I mean for people who are embarrassed by literal things you need to live would you rather die than to have embarrassment.
My sister has type one diabetes and she always got bullied and I’m young than her but I always stood up for her as people were always mean and horrible to her saying she was a creep or a wierdo and this one boy who was in her class was always mean to her and so one day I told my school and he got expelled and I was so happy after that as my sister was so happy and was now excited to go to school see her friends and have a nice day. Never be ashamed to be yourself, you are you and you should be proud of that. Make this top comment for my sister. Have a nice day xx
