This sounds awesome lol, I have a muffler delete on my FiST and it sounds great but I'm waiting to do a high-flow cat before I consider a resonator delete. I would hate to make my car sound raspy like a Honda haha

Ive got a res and muffler cut on mine and it sounds great, no rasp and surprisingly no drone either.

Tomorrow going 3in downpipe 3in straight pipe I have the same color :)

How does it crackle like that? I have a straight pipe on mine now(both muffler and res gone) and yes it’s loud but no overrun. How have you got this mate it sounds wicked.

This was just 100% OEM tune and straight pipe from the Cat-back. No clue why it was so crackly and burbly but it sounded rad haha. Sorry for the super late response 🤙

Any other mods to the car at the time of this video? Also, what's the best way to clean the undercarriage during the winter to keep it from rusting? Thanks

Jer emy nope, the car is completely stock other than wheels/good tires in the summer for autoX. And I just run mine through a good touchless car wash with an undercarriage spray.

Lol yeah man it was really bad. I probably wouldn’t recommend doing this to your daily driver. It was damn fun though!

After the muffler and reso delete? Any codes? Or are you tuned for it? Just got an 18. And would love to do this also.

You don’t need a rune for muffler/res delete. Only need tuned if you mess with the Cat/downpipe.

Muffler delete is a bit much for me, I did the res delete and it’s a little too quiet. I think the happy medium is a nice hi flow resonator with a muffler delete. But for $60 I’m happy with the way it’s sounds. Little more induction noise for sure.

Mark G I was actually thinking the Resonator delete and a good high flow muffler (magnaflow, Borla, etc.) is the perfect happy medium. But I’m happy with my rice cannon for a while haha. Just did a 600 mile trip with no annoyance at the sound, so I’m gonna keep it like this for a while.

SumoBros It was honestly great having both of them at the same time. I daily drove the Miata in the summer and the Fiesta in the winter, but I would still take the FiST a day or two during the Summer just for fun. It’s so drastically different, yet just as fun for different reasons than the Miata. The front end is insanely responsive, and the engine has tons of low to mid range grunt. The steering ratio and steering feel was actually better than my ND IMO. It was really fun hopping between both of them. They’re both super fun on the street and AutoX. Now that I have been DD the FiST for 4 months or so it still hasn’t really gotten old. You can wring its neck basically all the time and it makes you feel like a little kid 😂. Hope this helps! For the record, I am still a Miata person, and another one is most likely in my future at some point. For now it’s just the FiST though.

SumoBros how loaded we talking? I’ve honestly been thinking of selling mine to try something different next season. Special Orange Spice color and Recaro seats. Does not have the tech package or the sunroof though. Anyway there are plenty of them out there if you have a dealer locate one. More difficult to get a good deal though.

Nothing noticeable. I never put the car on a dyno though, so not sure. Always felt strong and still competed well at my local autocross events.

So this setup had no muffler and no resonator. Only restriction was the factory catalytic converter in the downpipe.

The muffler is the back box. Resonator is the middle box. So a non res (resonated) catback is without a middle box but with a backbox

It didn't feel any slower after the exhaust work. I never had it dynoed, but it pulled the same as my friend's all-stock FiST.

The car did eventually become a little obnoxious as a daily driving with this exhaust setup, not going to lie. I put around 20k miles on it in one year. It droned at around 75 mph, but below that it was okay cruising on the highway. Cheers!

Muffler and mid-resonator delete. Stock downpipe with cat, but everything after that is straight 2.25”. It droned a lot, but was super fun.

@@ImBradz by “back box” do you just mean the rear muffler? Honestly the setup I had in this video was probably a little excessive for a daily driver. It sounded great, especially from the outside, but it droned quite a bit on the freeway. I have a high tolerance for annoyingly loud exhaust, so it wasn’t a major issue for me. If you also have a high tolerance for drone I’d delete both resonator and muffler like I did. You could have the drone solved with a custom helmholtz chamber as well for probably another $200 USD or so. If I still had the car that is what I would have done to solve the drone but keep the awesome sounding Rally car vibes.

@@ImBradz ahh gotcha. Yeah man the resonator in the middle helps a lot with drone and doesn’t hurt performance. I think a catless DP, stock resonator, and muffler delete with the factory 2.25” piping from the DP back would be a great setup and would make good power with a pro-tune for pretty dang cheap. Aftermarket Cat-backs will step up to 2.5” piping, but honestly won’t gain a whole lot of power over 2.25”. I’d probably keep a cat if it were me just to manage boost creep better, but either way would work and feel/sound great.

Its not really stright pipe iv had mine done and its deep but once u remove the cat u will wish u had not taken the muffler off sounds lile bubbles🤣🤣

Yes the cat was still in. This was just a resonator and muffler delete. Cat is part of the factory downpipe in the Fiesta ST.

Shifty Intentions ok rad I was thinking I have a 2011 hatch it’s not a st :( but does it’s job and The cat back system from a ST Is a direct bolt on and I wanna use the ST muffler but go without the resonator so I can get those sweet sweet burbles.

How much for you to do this to my car lol

Don't do it, too FUCKING loud! You'll so regret it, trust me on this. Sound is subjective I know but this, this is not good. Doesn't even make your car faster trust me, it's horrible. I was stuck with it for twenty four hours till the muffler shop opened. Ended up getting a new magnaflow with a nice black single tip for forty bucks.
