I've been following this build of yours, it looks like fun. When the weather cools down I'll crack open my RD1 and start fighting with the timing again. Thanks for the video.

I'm glad you are still here
Glad to see more content coming out ! I just picked up an RD1 last week for my new daily and I am loving it! Just got my valve tool so I am going to adjust the valves and re seal the cover and camshaft. Did a diff fluid change and that made my rear end quiet. Likely going to do a trans fluid change/flush since it hesitates grabbing from 2nd to 3rd. Other than that I scored it super cheap and hope to make it last another 100k. Thanks for the great knowledge and content much appreciated look forward to the next videos.

it's same issue rollback stock radiator and fan fd2
What a ball ache swapping rads and intakes, time consuming. Glad its sorted, i run a dc5 alloy rad and small hole drilled in the thermostat and it runs too cold i need to go back to an oem thermostat.

Philip I have a 2000 Honda crv and had the motor replaced with a JDM import. I can only imagine it's the same motor but how can i identify what series motor it is? Love your videos and they give me the confidence to work on my car myself!

Should have a serial code near where the heat shield is. It’ll say something like “b20xx”

The engine code should be on the block where the engine meets the trans
Nice! Wonder if it'll clear my 1989 K24A2 CRX?

A lot of people use the scirocco radiator as a budget tucked radiator
Hey I have a 1997 Honda CRV going to replace power steering rack because I think that's why the car wanders and instability is all over the road ball joints and everything else is fine but is it possible to do a rack and pinion on drive up jack stands just to feel a little safer am I limited to jack stands and blocks I have no lift any information thank you

I would recommend taking the front wheels off. So in that case the drive on ramps won't work

@@hondaresource that's true that now that I thought about it appreciate the info the car's got $230,000 on it I've done replaced everything else rack has slight leak alignment is good that's the only thing I can figure out that's making the car wander on the road

It's a stock motor. There should be no reason to need additives.
