In case it's not painfully obvious, Lucifer is depressed and did what most depressed people do: he isolated himself. That's why he wasn't in his daughter's life much. This was them reconnecting, and the duet was so sweet.

Vivziepop, the creator, specifically states that you don't go to hell because you are LGBTQ+, though its interesting to note that some angels and even some of the hellborn demons are homophobic. Hopefully if you guys love this show so much, you'll watch Helluva Boss, which takes place in the same universe but focuses more on the hellborn demons of hell rather than the sinners.

I don't think the Lord would be so loving to someone who would physically harm themselves to be different. Since suicide is another thing he would look down on. One thing I havent seen any other comments touch on but Charile used Angel Dust as her example because he's her first resident and him actually being himself and opening up (which we see him doing at the start of the episode by him not pretending he's fine) he is showing a lot of progress. And she cant use Husk as an example cause he isn't a resident there, he isn't working for redemption, he simply works there because Alastor makes him.

homosexuality isn't a reason worth sending someone to hell in this universe! so it's basically irrelevant.

The older seraphim is Sera, the younger one who got on with Charlie is Emily, and Adam's second-in-command is Lute. And yes, Alastor has brass stones. Saved his very first f-bomb in the series for the King of Hell himself (and knew he could get away with it both because he sensed Lucifer isn't the type to go full-power over a minor slight like that, and that Charlie is *right there* and Lucifer won't upset his daughter by harming someone she clearly cares about). This is also why they both resorted to petty antics during "Hell's Greatest Dad". Alastor knows Lucifer can outmatch him in power without breaking a sweat. Niggling him and playing up the "stepdad who stepped up" role was a tactic to not only drag Lucifer down to a more level playing field, but also keep himself in Charlie's good graces. Also, Alastor's good at weaponizing the truth. Notice how Lucifer was offering Charlie material things, while Alastor was pointing out ways he assists Charlie with her passion project. This plus defending the hotel basically lit the fire under Lucifer's ass to actually hear Charlie, because now he knows there's a real chance that soneone else can take his place as the primary father figure in her life. Whether Alastor planned on doing this to get Lucifer to reconcile is up for debate (on the one hand, he's pissed that Lucifer showed up at all. On the other, he has a somewhat genuine smile during his close-up in "More Than Anything"), but hitting Lucifer's sore spot absolutely got positive results for Charlie, and that will benefit him later down the line.

I love that Alastor is this huge, massive enigma to most in canon - and even to us. It's some nice consistency.

actually the five months have already passed. it’s tricky to catch but in episode 5, charlie says to lucifer that she’s told him where she’s been staying at, “five months ago when you called me” - referring to when lucifer first asked her to meet adam in his place in episode 1 edit: watch out for spoilers past this episode in the replies

Lol it's so serious but the horror sting sound/ note on Charlie's tall eyes just amuses me Probably won because he wasn't physically redeemed and present in heaven; some people wondered if Val's contract could (later) be physically preventing it. The more the show goes on, the more it REALLY hints at Alastair belonging to Lilith. If you remember, in Episode 1 Charlie tells Vaggie that Lilith has been gone for 7 years. In episode 2, Vox opens his song by saying that Alastair has been gone for 7 years. They also mention that Alastair made a “splash” in hell faster than anyone else, toppling overlords who have ruled for centuries. Lilith would have the strength to grant Alastair that kind of power if it benefits her in some way. There’s also a comment from Vestiel in episode 3, where he says “There has been rumors that though have fallen into *Holy arms*.”

That just makes me think… This supposed deal if she is the one, she was in heaven for 7 years. It’s possible she saw an extermination for herself 7 years ago or confronted Adam and made a deal there in hell. Alastor may of tried something while Lilith was there and that’s how that rumour of him and “falling to Holly arms” worked. Maybe it looked like Lilith struck at him. I still think the more people believe it’s Lilith the more they’re setting themselves up bad ideas.

Personally, I don't think Lute is actually homophobic; I think her line is referring to Charlie being demonic and Vaggie being an angel, not because they're both women. The line is definitely *symbolic* of hoophobia, but in the context of the show I think she's actually talking about them being a demon/angel couple.

Charlie is six feet. (For comparison, Angel dust is 8 feet and Alastor is a bit shorter than Angel, probably seven feet or so. There was a lineup in one of the older wikis)

The first time Charlie met Adam and Lute Adam said that Charlie and the hellborn people got a pass on the extermination and wouldn’t be killed because of Lucifer making it that way then why did Vaggie get in trouble and killed with her eye removed and wings removed by lute. Yes, she refused to kill a child was the child not hell born or what did a Child do to get into hell? And in this episode isn’t Charlie still not supposed to be killed how can he go after her and why did the Angels allow this now that they knew it was going on they did nothing to stop it

The child vaggie spared was likely from cannibal town , and I guess the angels never thought of sinners being able to be redeemed, cause it's never happened before, the reason the angels are so quick to label the sinners as a lost cause is because they're so fixated on the chaos that they don't get a closer look to notice that some aren't all bad people they're just too used to how things are there.
