Kino is a very good lad, but his reach is not island wide. Food for the Poor is the charity with a proven track record and a history of helping poor folks with new houses, especially after hurricanes aftermath.

We love and appreciate you.All our African leaders have the beast country and people but we have the most corrupt government.Did you know Singapore got their independence after us in Jamaica and their leader LeequanDoo visited Jamaica and studied the Jamaican model to develop his country. He placed country over self. After the 1907 hurricane, our African ancestors examined the brick houses that were destroyed and broke up the bricks ,mixed it with mortar ,used bullet wood to form corner post,wackle or rand weave the walls, created high foundation .Evid😮ence can be found in Trench Town and Seaview.These houses still exit. Those were affordable housing solutions for our people.Today government agencies sell one starter unit that you might be flooded out for 30 million dollars and counting.1982 Singapore focused to end getto in their country. Hats off to all their hard work and achievement.

Arwa the rural areas have been devastated. Especially parishes like Mandeville, Manchester, Clarendon St Mary and St Elizabeth most people in those areas is without water and light. Houses have been destroyed and many people lost their roofs and houses

Shorn: Thank you for your concern for Jamaica. Hurricane "BERYL" was a category 4 when it approached Jamaica. The highest category level for a hurricane is Category 5. The south coast St. Elizabeth, St. Thomas, Manchester, Clarendon) was hit badly and for those who don't know, those parishes produce most of the island's fresh food from the farm. One farmer said he lost 1,500 chickens that lay eggs. Don't feel sorry for us, just pray for us, because in a few months, we'll be back. Sadly, we lost two people and our neighboring island lost I think seven but it could have been a lost worse. Thank goodness, people followed the warnings. Heard that Ocho Rios in the north coast received light and power today, Monday. We'll be back better than before because we love to sing "DON'T WORRY--ABOUT A THING--CAUSE EVERY LITTLE THING--GONNA BE ALRIGHT".....Bob Marley. One love!!!
