Finally I can Use it with Everything //

Музыка

I love sequencers, and Metropolix is one of my favorite. The concept of Stages instead of steps is something that leads to different results and discoveries.
‪@intellijel‬ just released an hardware upgrade that allows you to use the Metropolix via Midi or USB, making this little box super versatile.
Today I will show you the basics of it. Stay tuned for future advanced tutorials!

A nice video. Metropolix has also been on my wish list since its release. I really like your channel. I was also pleased again, or rather I got confirmation of my interest in Metropolix, because you show exactly the functions that Metropolix essentially offers for my "theoretically envisaged application" as an essential unique selling point of this module, which ensured that it was very high on my wish list. As I can now pleasantly see and hear, very justified 🥰

Three years ago, I got into modular synth because of the Metropolix. I created some super funky jams with it. I sold it a year ago to do sequencing with the Octatrack, but that didn't work out. Now I'm using the Oxi One and getting the best of both worlds, but I still miss the Metropolix :)

The hapax seems a beast too. I am not playing live so I cant justify any purchase, really, but these machines seems capable.

I know metropolix is more playable, and more fun in ways but i just cant believe people don’t suck it up and go with hermod+ for in rack sequencers. 8 midi tracks, 8 cv tracks, can record cv, on board fx, quantizers, euclidean, random, lfos, etc… it offers so much and if you play with it for a bit it gets easy. My 2 centz

I think each sequencer has some strength. For example I end up with very different things using the metropolix instead of oxi or t1. Obviously I am privileged having multiple ones.

@@OoraMusicagreed. I like metropolix. Like i said very playable and one of the easiest sequencers to me to come up with musical melodies and not just noise. One of its biggest strengths to me. The one thing i know i want but still haven’t decided if i will use it on the regular is your vermona. Seems like everything that comes out of that thing screams dreamy melodies. I know you use it a lot so i assume its a big piece in your workflow. Is i the sound that keeps you using the hell out of it?

I've heard the midi in is only for changing its internal params but you cannot really use it as slave to another machine, is this true? aka, the metropolix is either the master of your whole setup or nothing

Not true. MIDI IN can definitely be used as the CLK and transport inputs to Metropolix. You can sync to your DAW or whatever other gear is the main MIDI control source. The intellijel YT page has an example video of this where Metropolix is synced to Ableton Live (which plays drums) and then the output of Metropollix goes to an OB-6 and a Cascadia via midi.
