I would build a tower of levees around the bad water source to deviate the bad water from the ground and have it run in a aqueduct with water wheels to produce power, and have canals dedicated for pumps to collect bad-water. Thanks to this 3d water system we can reuse all ground for crops and greenery.

Long term I have a plan for the other bad water sources, but building all takes time
Instead of platforms for the water wheels you could have used two 2x1 over hangs next to each other and then put the water wheel on top of one and the create a U-turn on the next one and then run to the next one with 1 high platforms over the rest of the path on the aqueduct. You can put over hangs on levees I could have sworn.

That would have been a good idea, which did not occur to me at all.
Love to see all the funky things we can do with the new water physics. With the vertical power shafts I think you could make a U-turn from the waterwheels back under and onto the levee wall and just run the power there..

That would have been a cool way to do it, this update has so many new ways to built my brain hasn't caught up
Im on Helix Mountain atm and almost finished, virtually the whole map is green and all of helix mountain is protected from badwater using sluice gates and dropping the badwater straight down the mountain cutting through the spiral rivers was just about to place the populator and thought id do one last thing and that is attack the badwater mountain in the corner to make that final corner all green too and to do that i am building viaducts to carry the bad water out leading to power wheels before exiting the map. Then im going to place platforms 2 high over the 2 badwater sources covering all the badwater in the source lake in the mountain, then going to use impermiable floors over all of it then using viaducts from the spiral to then transport and fill up a lake above the badwateron the mountain, which will then flow as the badwater did. finishing off the whole map, can leave my game running for days without a single click with no issues whatsoever. Good job because i need at least a week of the game running on fast speed maybe 2, just to get all the native oaks to self seed back around the lower part of the spiral. Reason for of all this project is i think if designed right using a head of water with closed pipes all the way to just before the power wheels will make the power wheels produce quite a bit more power. I think......

Helix mountain is a fun map, I did a mega build series on there in update 5 :)
You were talking about not putting water wheels on those outside corners, you could put levies so that the bad water flow is concentrated to increase power output

Some of the suggestions I've had have given me good ideas for easy ways to hook up power on wheels on those corners now :)

@@DisTurbedSimulations I just watched it! I like the use of platforms!
New powerduct looking good. A suggestion: You could consider moving the steel industry behind your badwater aquaduct so that its closer to where the mine is and then free up space where the food industry will be. Also you didnt need to relocate that staircase as it would have fit under the 2 high platform that eventually went there. Aslo you could probably run a more direct path under the first section by the original tree farm
@DisTurbedSimulations

I'm considering moving, or building any new industry near the powerduct (love that word). And yeah, no idea why I thought I wanted to put a single platform over the staircase, sometimes when recording you just miss obvious stuff. If I don't forget I'll look at paths again
9:33 RCE reference hell yeah
I’d unlock the bigger dynamite. Make the expanding of the water pools bigger faster

Yes, I definitely need to do that. Probably a good idea to have the extract and option to decontaminate too with beavers walking through levis to build stuff.
Great episode D/S i was just thinking possibly put some flood gates on the inlet which you unblocked if you want to plant anything there but it looks really good 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Possibly, once I've reworked the river it should stay full
great aquaduct . also you can place dynamites above the path without removing the path, they will be removed by detonating the dynamites
@DisTurbedSimulations

Thanks,. And yes I'm aware of that. And i will continue to remove the path in some case if it's easy to avoid beavers being blown up :)

@@DisTurbedSimulations haha, yeah, the beavers are stupid sometimes
Another great video! My thoughts: make sure sluice gates are at the very bottom of the reservoir so you can take advantage of all the water in it, if needed. Dam up the end of the river so you can store some water in there during droughts. And I don’t know if it works this way but maybe dams at the end of the bad water power chute, would raise the level and maybe increase the flow for more power?
@charlesingram9471

i use floodgates behind sluices anywhere i want to hold water higher. I think its maybe just Helix mountain i have to do this because the water doesnt flow down the mountain very smoothly, it surges constantly, only a little but is constantly changing water level making it hard work for sluices on their own as they need fairly consistent levels. But may help in other situations too Also if the further along the line river or lake has risk of drying out it helps to get the water level up too. because if the water level drops after a sluice it will stay open emptying whatever it is holding. so using them together can help
@DisTurbedSimulations

Thanks. I definitely plan to have some dams along the main river to keep it full during a drought. I don't daming the end of the aquaduct to raise the level will increase power, I think the difference now vs update 5 that we are used to is water wheels don't increase the depth of the water the more you have.
1:12:35 Why not have the bad water go the other way and divert that bad water source to dump into it? Then you could turn that old bad water diversion into a second water fall and irrigate a huge section of the map with that channel that the bad water was going through.
@DisTurbedSimulations

That's not a bad idea, I guess ultimately I could focus it all around to exit in the same place.
V cool instrumental 22:02 ❤️
Cut the birch(?) at that other water source as a little influx of logs?

You are missing one path piece right at the start of the water wheels.
@DisTurbedSimulations
19 күн бұрын
Ill check that thanks
A suggestion: since levee can be built on the overhang platform why not create powerduct over powerduct so at the top level the water used for the wheel than go down to next level for the wheel an so on

At the moment, just the time it takes to build things. I think I may do something larger with the bad water sources at the other end of the map
remember that dynamite can be placed on paths now 😉👍

Didn't really effect the efficiency of placing the explosive. I will probably continue to delete bits of path like that. I see it as being more useful for clearing large areas like the bottom of the reservoir.

@@DisTurbedSimulations totally agree, but it pays off to get used to it so you don't suddenly remove a path and go do something else and suddenly find out that you have cut off an industrial area without thinking doubt you will do it half as much as me but always best to be on the safe side 😁👍
I think it would be nice to be able to flip the impermiable floors to use as sides also

I think Levi's do a good enough job for that, as they'd probably need a platform to support them anyway.
