Your not supposed to use the choke when it’s warm because it will flood the engine. I’ve got a mini so I know 😂

Classic cars are HISTORY! I couldn't care less about these so called "supercars" or "hypercars". When are you going to be able to drive so fast on the highways or the roads? NEVER! A small classic car is great.

Lol.. I'm 6'3 and I had 3 of these in the 90s, once I had 6 people in it and had to push start it with 5 passengers still sat in there... Also fun round London too... Great cars

Just saw this vid ping up... Going to watch it later with my lad, just before his bedtime. Just wanted to say that the original Mini is a cool and brilliant car. I had the fortune to drive one a few years ago and I had the biggest smile on my face. Such a fantastic handling car that is so much fun!! 👍

Let's be frank, this car provides more smiles and laughs per BHP, than any supercar. This car really is a legendary car. No one will give a monkeys about a 918 or a La Ferrari in 50 years, but the mini will live for ever.

Great video! Used to walk past a Mini 30 on a regular basis around the time of purchasing my first car which was a "breadvan" VW Polo. There really is no comparison old Mini to new MINI and as for some of the new variants they ought to call them MAXI. In saying that the first generation new MINI designed by Frank Stephenson is a lovely design in its own right. Enjoyed seeing TGE having fun in these great little cars. Thank you.

Finally a classic mini!!! I’ve had mine for 4 years, great place to put money, been waiting for TG to get one

My very first car was a Silver Mini HL - CAG 76X. Loved it. Had 11 people in it once couldn't get it to 20mph because of the weight. Happy Happy days ❤️🥰

I use to have a Leyland Mini clubman S 1977 998c engine Australian made model. I rolled it when I fell asleep at the wheel it saved my life at 19 as strong as a brick on wheels. The gears lift up the gear stick in the hand push up to the right to the front. Most reliable little car I had and parts where cheap in 1983 84 85 not that it needed much at all on servicing. I suggest bear get the Automatic Mayfair as he's hopeless at manual in the mini , the gear changes are notchy and need fo be quick. Australian model didn't have synchro on 1st gear only crash on first gear so you basically only could go into first gear at stopping.. Great to watch love the UK Austin Rover Mini's.

Im 24 and I actually bought the same exact car as my first car, however my one is a left hand drive 30th anniversary. I found it at a car dealership catching rust and I restored it. I must say it brings me so much joy every day I drive it. People thought I'm crazy but I think I made a good investment although I don't know if I would ever sell it. Hahaha love minis !

So nostalgic to see this mini, as my grandma had this mini, and it's what started my love of Minis... Like not this EXACT mini, but she did have the 30th anniversary mini in Cherry Red, her's was completely standard, never modified in any way.

Those 6x9s how nostalgic! First car was a mini city, took 6 miles on the a41 to reach 83mph with 4 of us inside, quite impressed.

Brilliant fun 🤩 loved how you struggle with the gear box in a classic Mini sort of way. That smile though is everyone’s reaction to a Mini. You just can’t beat driving one ☝️

The modern mini isn't a Mini its a BMW 0.5. The classic is the original roller skate, class them oldies, I remember doing 85 in the fast lane nailing the life out of it but what fun. 1275GT with a tickled engine.

Ah memories. My grandma had many minis. Her last was a 35th anniversary. My auntie made her sell it as she said it was too dangerous and forced her into buying a micra instead, which I was instructed to sell when she died. If it was the mini I’d have kept it.

Love it, I’ve owned a classic mini and now own a 12 year old Cooper S, very different cars but still have the same feeling, just easier to drive now 👍🏻

I love minis, haven’t driven one since 1999 when I sold mine though! Your face 🤣 they do make you look a bit like Mr Bean. That was more scary than it should’ve been! Definitely one for the garage - CHAOS!

I had a mini 30 as my first car 19 years ago. Spent £700... Sold for not much more 2 years later. Crazy to think the market is so high now

That pure joy during your whole ride... Same feeling I get every time I drive my R53. One day I will have a classic. A bit tougher to find in the states.

Tom this is where you learn to drive a proper car. Yes the car you drove a 998cc & yes it did have disc brakes on the front. Thank god you didn't go out in the swift tuned one think you would of crashed that one. Had a 1340cc with twin tanks full roll cage 13" wheels & removable front end. Was red & yellow resprayed by myself known has Sunglasses required You will have fun when you get one

Absolutely get one in the garage. Nothing beats a classic Mini for smiles per mile.

I have driven a lot of cars, but still remember my first time driving a classic mini many moons ago! About the most pure driving experience there is! Would be great if you added one to your collection mate!

Genuinely wanted a classic mini since I was about 4... And I got shown the film the Italian job when I was about 6/7 and it's a goal to own one in the future.... Before there prices get toooooo highwhich sadly seems to be happening. Lovely video and awesome mini you drove.

Out of all the cars you have driven over the years, don’t think I have seen you as excited as driving this, get one on the channel 😂

That made me smile as it brought back memories of what we used to rag around the country lanes in the late 80's / early 90's. Funny to watch you try and drive a car with a proper old skool manual gear box. They are little zippers once you get used to how to drive it. Buy one, you'll love it.
