Good video! Personally, I get better groups when I hold the forend on harder recoiling rifles. Plus, it much better reproduces real-world hunting scenarios. The Burris E1 scopes have become my favorite of all, and I've used pretty much everything. For years my preferred scope was the Nikon Buckmaster, followed closely by the Leupold VX2 or Vari-X 3. I've also used Vortex Crossfire and Diamondback, Burris Fullfield, several different Bushnell and Weaver scopes. Out of all of them, my favorite is the E1.

@@shaolinwarriormark This is little too big for AR15 unless you'll be shooting beyond 200 yards. I like to keep my AR15 compact & light with lower power scope so I can get on the target faster.

@@shaolinwarriormark That's a great scope but shooting beyond 200 yards in a stretch, for really accurate shooting like under 1MOA with this scope would be more like 100-150 yards. But shooting beyond 200 yards deadly accurate with 223 or 556 is a stretch the bullet is too light. If you are planning to shoot beyond 200 yards, I would go with Burris fullfield E1 on this video.

I use a Wheeler torque screw driver and clear nail polish to hold the screws in the rings. Good shooting. Also, just purchased my second one of these in two weeks. one on a .243, the other a .308

I built a 20” heavy barrel varmint AR and put this scope on it, absolutely great glass for the money and it allows the nice heavy barrel in my AR to work to it’s potential. Resetting the turrets to zero on this scope is kind of a pain though.

Congrats brother! Make sure you don't over tighten the front scope ring, or parallax adjustment will not turn. call the Burris and ask them what's the pounds of torque on that ring but I think it was about 20 lbs.

Those 7mm mag 110gn are fast and flat. Even though it's a light bullet it's got a lot of powder behind it and a very sharp kick. You sir know how to shoot very well

The thing with weatherby is they have such a various price range and quality range. $600 vanguard S2 synthetic stock blued barrel or $2500 weatherby Mark 5 beautiful wooden stock. So what hunting do you do and what’s your price range? I bought a weatherby in the vanguard S2 with a cerakote barrel and action same stock as on Dr Hunter as I call him was using in the video. Good price good features and good shooter as you just saw. If money was no object then I would get the ultra lightweight mark 5 I would personally get it in 257 weatherby for deer.

Good video. Did you happen to see the difference on how your rifle was situated on your front rest? You were hitting the sling swivel on the forearm of your rifle. The second group you were not hitting the swivel under the recoil. Could have been the difference between the two groups. Good video great shooting Dr. Hunter. LOL! Great and if you want smaller scope with power up to 9 look into Leupold American Marksman 3-9X40. I bought one few years ago for $170 on a great sale from Cabelas, I think it's cheapest scope from Leupold but it has been great.

I honestly don't remember but I measure the diameter of the scope and bought the same diameter cap.

Great scope man! I was given the same exact model for my birthday as well back in September! What are the chances? I have it on my 308 and I’m very happy with it. Now you got me thinking I should try it on my 7mm 700 for deer season!

Furthest I shoot with this scope is 500 yards and hitting about 15" steel target was not a problem so for me it was great. Thanks for watching n God bless.

I was probably breaking a new barrel on a different rifle😁. I usually take 3 rifles and take turns shooting them in cold barrels.
