Good case for those that need something really thin and sleek. But that dock is what looks really awesome to me! I like how the switch feels by itself.

I had the force field for the lite when I had one. Sold that lite and case awhile back when I upgraded to the v2 switch. Been wanting a case like this for a long time for the switch and now oled after I upgraded again to that. After watching this video and ordered the case for the oled and so excited to get it in! It should be really nice! Can’t wait to get it!

It always killed me that Nintendo themselves never made a case like this for anything except the Switch Lite. I bought this a month ago and it really is the case I been looking for. Only wish that it didn't have those grips in the back, so it slides my inside coat pocket, without bumps; but at least it very much minmal.

Looks dope. My genki convert dock came with a braided usb c cable

This looks awesome! I think I’m still good with my TomToc Slim as it fits my OLED with the Skull & Co with the smallest grips which is the perfect combo for me. Also swapped my joysticks for ones with Hall effect sensors and it’s perfect!

Nice video, you should check the Pro Case for Switch Oled and make a comparison video as both are very similar. Not sure which one to pick tbh

I like the mumba grips personally. You get ur custom joycons will lil better feel amd can match. Ill have to check it out but i def like the smaller case. Im gonna do a dock swap anyways.

I got it when it came out from Japan, paid a lot more because of shipping but when I saw it I didn’t mind, it’s the best case

Lol i was wrong! Different case 🥹 now I have to get this one.

The package comes with sticky magnets for the kickstand so it does not flap while using the case.. It works!

That case looks nice, I currently have one, Nintendo branded case I believe that came with two four pack game cases and it's quite slim and protects it well, but that one is very nice. I saw that small dock, it looks good although now that you said said it's made specifically for the switch, I might get it. 😁

For this, is there any thumb grip that can fit into these covers, Iust can't stand the type of rubber feel on the switch joycons

So does the front magnet closing work and stay closed like the official Nintendo one for the Lite?

I never had a switch, my classmate have one and i asked her if i can play it. And oh boy, my first impression on them joycons does hurt my hands and fingers and they are not comfortable

You forgot that you can take out left & right joycons without removing the case so you can play tabletop mode

Oh this is great! I think I will stick with the split pad compact tho, I got used to it to a point where regular joy cons are unbearable for me.

iv had a g story case for about a year or 2 now it's great u should try it

That crazy I kept asking them if they where gonna release one for the v2 and never heard anything then seeing this it kinda get me mad cuz I wanted this for my switch and they make one for the oled and not the v2 model it kinda crazy not everyone is upgrading to the oled

@@julienmelnick I do too I ask genki like a year or 2 ago when I saw a switch lite case if they had plans to release for v2 they don’t manufacturing anymore, but there is a lot of people that still have that version because they did not feel the upgrade was necessary like myself I spent money on a red and blue edition switch then they released the oled model and at the point it was not worth to upgrade since I got this one before hand and it sad cause I know a lot of us wanted a good flip case for the normal switch but I guess I just keep looking for case like this for the v2 smh by the way love your content keep doing great work

I bought my Nintendo Switch on day one, I’ve used Genki’s first dock (not the mini) for about 4 1/2 years now as my main dock and I’ve had zero issues, just make sure the vent on your Nintendo Switch has open circulation, just like you would with the official dock.

The mini is a smaller and much newer model than mine, so in theory it should be even safer than the dock I’ve used.

Its $30 :( the mumba case offers better protection and grip for $18-20

It's a good case but this flap is supper annoying. I ended up cutting it out with my knife and now it's perfect.

Don't use third party docks. Not worth the risk

SHEEEESH it looks good.... But isn't this weird that we just accepted that handhelds now don't fit in our pocket and have only 5 hours at best when you play games ? It was the hole think about them, put it in pocket and charge almost never. That's why i don't get people saying that Switch is the best handheld. Anyway i was thinking about getting a Switch or Steam Deck and i think about buying Switch first to have a handheld and console at the same time to see if it makes me play more or nothing change and just make it my mains console and then buy a steam deck if i think handheld changes anything..... I don't know if i'll just waste money or do a big brain move

TBH the battery life thing has been 4-6 hours since the 3ds so we are looking at over a decade of the 5 hour life. I think for us it was the introduction of rechargeable batteries that really did it. Even the dsi, ds, and ds lite had a battery life of 15 at best. that isn't much for people who game for extended periods of time. the Gameboy SP was about 10 hours and then before that was batteries. We really haven't had that "great" of battery life for a long time. I'm not sure why we all still hold onto that. (myself included). As for steamdeck or switch. I prefer the switch. My steamdeck is an emulation machine collecting dust since the novelty wore off. any AAA title I want to play, I want to play it on the PS5 with dualsense.

This case sucks! It Stained My Brand new white joycons immediately Buyer Beware!!!!
