Finally a CHEAP Table That Looks GREAT!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I love making furniture but many people don't want to pay for handmade goods. I usually don't enjoy working with construction grade pine, but in this video I found a way to combine affordability and quality workmanship by making a Yellow Pine Kitchen Table!

Nice finished product. Did you take a moisture content reading of the lumber before milling it up? If you did, could you tell me what the reading was. Thanks. Enjoy your channel a lot.

No, I didn’t. But honestly, I probably should have. I just let it sit in my shop for awhile to let it dry before working.

Nice work! Any advice on how to do the same but without a jointer?

You could always skip plane them if you have a planer but not a jointer for the faces, as for edges, you may result to hand planing them or purchase an inexpensive handheld electric jointer

That looks so easy, I definitely have to try it. Yikes. Do you have any advice for woodworking when space is at a premium? My garage is mostly dedicated to automotive work and tools. Even when it's clean and organized (which I think happened once in 2015) there's barely space for a couple of saw horses.

If space is a concern, keep everything mobile on wheels, use cordless tools when necessary, hand tools, etc.

At the time of building this table, total materials cost me around $130 or so.
