Nah fam. 2016 finals wasnt really an upset the teams were evenly matched unlike in 2011 when you had Lebron WITH wade 2 top 5 players vs a top 10 player in Dirk. Now that’s a real upset. 2016 Lebron was top 1 with Kyrie so that team really wasnt an underdog no matter the regular season record which doesnt matter in the playoffs anyway

@@lu7713 Appreciate it man! That's what made the Warriors dynasty great too. From the great runs they go on, the fans at Oracle had their backs and made the opponents scramble. Usually when trying to come back the arena used to scream like an American Football game on defense and the opponent would somehow lose the ball or get it stolen. It's amazing. Although Chase Center is still great, it's nowhere the level of Oracle in my opinion

In terms of the difference in records, that might be true, but I can tell you that as a Mavs fan, the one team I was worried about them facing was the Warriors. They were the only team to beat Dallas three times during the regular season (0-3). If it had been anyone else, the outcome in the playoffs would’ve been very different. There was a game down the stretch that the Mavs could’ve won, which would’ve, potentially, knocked Golden State out of the postseason. They should’ve tried harder to win that game, knowing how this team matched up with them. That’s all hypothetical, though, in the end.

The day I lost my faith with the Mavs. Been a fan since the Nash Nowitzki Finley days and coming from the 06 Finals I had high hopes as they were the no.1 in this season. I was all hype then this happened. It was a huge blow for me that I didn't watch the NBA after this. Watched again in 11 when I saw the news that they swept the Lakers but I was not expecting them to win it all as they were facing Lebron, Wade and Bosh and of all teams it was Miami that brings me bad memories. But I'm glad Mavs got their revenge, they proved me wrong. You can say I'm no true fan as I didn't follow their 2011 season but I was so happy they finally did it.
