I'm a big final warning enjoyer but now with "The Call" in the game I'd rather just use that instead and run double special like the good old days

The call is goated, i 100% see a nerf incoming for it. Final warning is just better than it was before by every metric besides game flow (normally you would stop to reload but having more ammo could screw with someone’s mind when they really only have like 1 bullet)

Interesting note I'd like to make about this gun. It basically has two timers to gatekeep the auto pistol fantasy. One is a target lock timer, being probably a half second to aquire an enemy. The other timer is while holding trigger, charging the volley of seeking projectiles. There is a player named Lazure with 10,000+ kills in pvp using final warning, and his biggest tip was to tap fire like a normal sidearm before going for the volley. The auto tracking starts while you're firing manually, and the full volley can be sent mid burst of manual shots. It won't carry automatically, but it has great rewards for already good play.

The quickest TTK you can get is to do a quick burst fire on a half charge to shoot 5 shots and then tap fire, it’s remarkably inefficient in terms of both time and safety to wait for a full charge. Basically as soon as you see the diamond charged on one target let it rip immediately! Only issue is you still need to be good enough to hit the untracked shots which for this gun is easier said than done

Final warning FYI is like top3 in primary damage in the game

Worth noting is that the ammo refund rate is significantly higher when shooting marked manor targets. Really makes melting them easy. Also, the damage boost is higher against minor and majors. It gives a 10% buff against then! Very very nice catalyst for an already strong gun.

Honestly I would give up the extra 5% damage and the inconsistent ammo return rate if they gave it fourth-times the charm and/or subsistence. Either one would benefit it immensely while not being overpowered.

Rewind rounds would have been the smartest -no pun intended- way to do the extra ammo, but in this case it refunds in the middle of the magazine which kills the guns flow in combat if you get a burst with only 3 bullets in it or something

The damage increase is actually 10% against red and orange bars. Also, it refunds SIGNIFICANTLY more ammo when shooting marked orange bars. It’s a very solid catalyst.

Final Warning was all I used in Onslaught back when Into The Light was running. It was insane on strand hunter. Good times.

Final warning is still cracked in PVE

I just gotta know, since I dismantled my foetracer... Does the marking from foetracer count towards the catalyst? (Basically asking if both marks will activate it) If so, then the spirit of the foetracer is gonna slap :)

Great question, I didn’t buildcraft so idk but the mark is a unique type of modifier where foetracer is a debuff so I’m inclined to say yes, will edit this comment when i know for sure

The catalyst just makes everything more consistent in PvP, TTK doesn’t change outside of fringe ranges you wouldn’t be using it anyway, you just have a little more ammo, and a tiny bit easier cleanups if one shot misses. Hey I’m a Cerberus man when it comes to niche exotics let us off meta abusers have some fun!

I’m not too concerned with the gameplay being top notch my point isn’t to impress just to demonstrate what the vast majority of the destiny community would see when using this gun. I don’t doubt it’s good in the right hands, I admit I do not like using it because I don’t like the “smart pistol” fantasy but the point I was making is the catalyst doesn’t take this thing from 10/10 to an 11/10 but that it makes it more consistent, much more useful in PVE than in PVP in my eyes - the catalyst that is- thanks for watching!

You don’t know what ur talking about, final warning is the best PvP gun ever and will break the game. You have to master it.

I have a 5.8 kd with this gun and multiple people say I’m cheating this gun is broken. The more people who will use it will break the game. You were supposed to hold the trigger not tap. You made a terrible review

A critical examination of the catalyst proves that 5% damage increase does nothing when optimally using this gun. The ammo refunding is more useful. I never said anything about the gun, I think it’s fine. Just that the catalyst is mediocre when looking at everything
