@@logansmith4690 I made the same comment earlier. This was a must call. His opponent has more bluffs here than straights or two pairs. His chip stack is almost crippled. This is a must call to advance in the tournament. He got very lucky to get second place because his opponents all knocked each other out after that.

Great job, Ethan! Love the liveliness in your videos including the commentary. Definitely fun to watch! Keep it up!
One thing I’ve noticed watching poker vlogs compared to how I felt 20 years ago is that sooo much value is placed on AK that I don’t get…no one wants to navigate a board or play the hand regularly. It’s always balls to the wall

Hey Rampage. I'm so glad to see you getting back to your old roots and grinding letting go of hands that you would recently gamble with and your bank roll challenge videos have been a treat to watch as well because you're back to playing your old style of poker and winning because you are using your type of logic. Keep it up my friend.
Glad to see you playing much better Ethan. Good stuff.

He's not playing against the "best players" in the world. He's playing against the ones who don't have jobs (at least normal ones) and have massive bankrolls. There's a major difference. $193k for first isn't worth it. WSOP or bust
4:16 That's a double gutter your opponent has with T9, not just a gutshot
I dont normally comment on these videos. That hero call with AK was sick. Good read
You had some great hands today that held up. Well done. I too would have folded against the gentleman with the pocket 2's because the board was not great for your hand.

Very good play, overall. Personally I would not have recommended you fire a third bullet, but I think you're +EV at tourneys, so I won't actually criticize your decision to fire it. Only you know the context of how the first 2 bullets were lost, how you felt you were playing, whether the tourney was juicy, etc. Just be aware of the difference between putting yourself in a position where good things can happen, versus getting desperate to make something happen. The next time you're in NH, I'd be happy to spend an hour or two checking that you can tell a gutshot from a double gutshot in under 1 second. It didn't matter this time, but there are different situations where that mistake of what draw you saw for T9 could be really costly. More important for your own hands, but also important to know exactly what draw each hand in an opponent's range has. Remember using flash cards to learn your times tables? At some point around age 6, I never again got one wrong, seeing 9x7 made me know the back of the card said 63 in under 0.1 second. The same is true for spotting draws, backdoors, combo draws, etc, though maybe not in 0.1 sec, maybe 1 sec or even longer, but the error rate should be 0%. We all make mistakes, but the more types of mistakes that we never make, the better. I'm pretty much 100% at spotting draws and counting outs, though the equally easy task of spotting chops where kickers don't play, I sometimes mess up and muck a chop, not spotting it until my cards are in the air toward the muck. That is a discipline breakdown, which kills me. The moral of the story is to learn how long it takes you to be 100% accurate at spotting things, then not doing anything hastier than that.
Congrats!

Not sure what everyone thinks but at @14:40 I would have bet 2/3 the pot given you only lose to the straight (or any hidden sets). Its counterintuitive but when Rampage checks back, it gives off the feeling to the opponent that he's got a weak hand and allows the opponent to be brave with whatever he's holding. Sure enough, that's what happened, and then it causes Ramage to question his own hand's strength. So in summary, I'd say aggression poker is winning poker.
And this is what can happen when you play well and don't do anything crazy . Now bring this type of play to your cash games . Congratulations on a great score.
That bluff against you was brutal that would have had me on full tilt
