Only One he means investors, tourists, indians, I-taukei and other countries wanted nothing to do with Fiji because of the coups. And how is Fiji more “racist” than before?. Before indians and I-taukei would fight everyday against each other with guns, spears and cane knives. Those things doesn’t happen as often no more. The conflict between indo-fijian and I-taukei has calmed down because of Bainimarama. Rabuka is the cause of Fiji’s Racial Problems. He didnt have to do the coup in 1987. It was a majority vote by the people of Fiji but Rabuka was too arrogant. Am I wrong or am I right?. You need to do your research before you comment something like that. Just stay in School.

Just watching this again ... can't help but pick how Vijay Narayan always looked like he was gang tackling Rabuka with Bainimarama with his questions. Why couldn't he ask the same about PMs Wages, the 2006 Coup according to Andrew Hughes investigations, pick up on Nepotism. Rabuka was diplomatic and very measured in his responses. Vijay looks and plays the snitch very well. Bainimarama on the other hand lacks in character and intellect. The party the people choose reflects the capacity they are in.

Simple, Rabuka has a lot to justify as he was the MAIN INSTIGATOR for eventual killings, raping, torture, looting, damaging properties of Fijians (iTaukeis included) and the f**ked-up state of the country. Initially he said he foresaw the insecurity Dr. Bavadra would bring becos new to politics (Rabuka was same and still he led the country), led him to make 1987 Coup, then said GCC & iTaukei rights movement group, then said God and even becos Alliance party lost etc etc etc.... too many faces of excuse and inconsistencies where he can't make up his mind.

Here, in Fiji, My mother is FULL-BLOODED iTaukei so what does that make me? I spent 9 months of intimacy growing n learning from her more than from my Father (even if he was an iTaukei).... I am equally, if not MORE iTaukei than a child born from an iTaukei man and a non-iTaukei woman. Narayan was a good and fair moderator! I think history will judge Bainimarama very well. To become economically stable, Fiji must modernise and become free of discrimination and preferential race policies, which inevitably breed prejudice, resentment, violence and instability, which also harms the economy and drives away investment. Sodelpa policies are from the stone age! They think that more corporal punishment will reduce violence against children and women?! Insane!! Coup culture is a reflection of wider cultural violence which normalises rule through brute force!! Essential services should be in public hands! Privatisation just takes wealth away from ordinary people and enriches foreign corporations! Fiji needs to invest in inclusive, secular education and infrastructure, e.g. community owned solar, wave and wind energy, and to invest in inland sustainable and cyclone resistant construction, agriculture and communities. All Fijians will only prosper when the country is unified in a common direction and all communities feel equally valued, supported and respected, and all individuals have an equal opportunity to thrive. Only my opinion without being biased in anyway, Franks policies will move all citizens together as ONE without discrimination and Sitiveni's policies will divide the nation. The most contentious point missed on the native land issue is the fact that laws governing native land can be changed by a simple majority of parliament under the 2013 constitution. So Bainimarama's claim that native land is much better protected under his imposed constitution is not true compared to the protection it had under the 1997 constitution where it is entrenched and any change would need the sanction of nine of the Senate nominees of the Bose Levu Vakaturaga.
