Watching the fast boats take start on the Los Angeles, California to Waikiki, Hawaii sailboat race. The 2023 race looks to have light wind and relatively slow speeds. It is very impressive to see the boats and seamanship of the sailors.

Pyewacket is not owned by Walt Disney’s son. It is owned by Roy Pat Disney, son of Roy O. Disney, son of Roy E. Disney Walt’s older Brother and Co-Founder of Disney Corporation.

I don’t know if you know this, but Roy and the crew of Pyewacket rescued the crew of OEX which was taking on water, and sank, in the 2019 Transpac. Thus abandoning the race. Because of their action, they received the US Sailing's Arthur B. Hanson Rescue Medal. www.ussailing.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/2019-Hanson-Pyewacket-web-post.pdf
