I haven't been impressed by an answer since Miss Botswana 1999. But Miss South Africa was really close. This was the only genuinely inspiring answer tonight, you could feel her passion and meaningful intention behind her words. It's easy to give pretty answers but only by being genuine you can make your message touch people's hearts.

she spoke naturally. But too relax, she was no longer aware that she was standing in front of a crowd with a very nice dress, but her POSTURE was so broken and her hand gesture had zero POISE... She was no longer graceful, no longer a beauty queen. No poise at all.

@@eduardochavacano I think the theme of MUO now is leadership. The art and science in influencing other people. I got this vibe from Catriona and Zozibini not so from the girls before them The two recent Ms. Universe are the kind of women I will listen and follow. They command attention and respect. I also hear that word uttered by the runner up Ms. Puerto Rico

She's the third woman from South Africa to win. However, it's interesting to point out that she's the first black woman from South Africa to win. The previous two winners from that country were white women. All three winners beautiful in their own ways. Congratulations to the winner and to South Africa. Well deserved victory 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

DEAR MISS UNIVERSE ORGANIZATION: THE JUDGES IN THIS YEAR MISS UNIVERSE ARE ALL LATINA AND MOST OF THE TOP 10 FINALIST ARE ALSO A LATINA SO IT IS OBVIOUSLY THAT THE FIGHT WASN'T FAIR AT ALL. PLEASE NEXT TIME THAT THIS MAY NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. MAKE SURE EVERY CONTINENTS HAVE AT LEAST ONE REPRESENTATIVE IN THE PANEL OF JUDGES, JUST TO AVOID BEING BIAS. MU should be banned from using political questions in the game. It's various in each country. It's sensitive. Each has long history. An answer might sound good to the judges' ears but back in the country how would you expect one to cope with?? You have no right to put a girl's life long journey into jeopardy. You need respect even if you don't understand.

So, for those ladies wanting to learn leadership, let me say you don't have real leadership by giving as vapid and meaningless answers as this. It's an answer whose chauvinism triggers a lot of pride in some quarters, but "taking up space" and being push is never what real leadership is like. Let me tell you a story of leadership. In my first real job, I was a sales person that sold automated irrigation systems, and we were sent to a retreat for technical training. My boss who ran one of the companies locations also happened to be the overall leader of the entire division of the company. So after one of the training sessions they served ice cream to us. I went outside, and then happened to go back through the building and there was my boss cleaning off the tables and wiping them down. I was appalled and said, "Bob, why are you doing that?", and my boss said, "Because someone had to." That's real leadership. Not "taking up space" or "cementing". At another company I worked for, there was this architect that was about 5' 1" and probably barely weighed 100bs. He had a tiny voice, but someone had taken a pen and scribbled on the desk of his cubicle "EF Hutton". Because when he talked, people listened. That's what real leadership looks like. She right that we haven't taught leadership to women. She's wrong about what those lessons would look like. I've seen some women that were legitimately good at it. It doesn't look like what this speaker thinks it looks.
