    The average weigh of a strawberry is 21.5 grams in 2023 please buy decent sized strawberries before you say their claim was fake your biggest strawberry was below average you should find a different strawberry supplier you are being screwed. I am not defending or hating on the mouse, I am eating strawberries right now and had to say give strawberries more credit.

    Thanks for being honest. For anyone who doesn't "get it", in by actually being honest, he can potentially be put on a 'list' that would bar him from potentially receiving products in the future. Reviewers can get on that list if if they perhaps stretch the truth. It's a bit more dishonest and corrupt than people think. Techne doesn't do that and that's why I know I can come here to get an honest review unlike some others.

    Got mine today. I've had good luck with Finalmouse in the past, so I really hoped I'd get a good copy. Mine has the same side flex you mentioned. It's so bad that just resting my pinky on it it flexes when I move the mouse around. Worse yet, it grinds a bit, so it's not even a smooth flex. I'm going to reach out to their support, but regardless I won't be using this innovative mouse.

    I like it when companies strive for the lowest latency possible. When i upgraded from the g403 to the wired dav3 the latency difference was noticeable, especially for the clicks and gaming with lower latency is more fun. Also click latency and higher ping are very different things. If you have high click latency you need to lead your shots or track the target after clicking which makes hitting shots harder. For higher ping there's lag compensation in pretty much ervery modern game so there's no need to lead shots.

    I check like only 3-4 people for reviews about peripherals, and you are definitely one of those for the real and honest opinions, which is how everyone should be, never downplay the truth. The things that we are seeing with mouse (and other hardware too) companies, things that are overshadowed just by hype, specially on this overpriced delusional market, is just, unacceptable, for some of us of course, sadly is becoming the "norm" to allow them to sell stuff and use the customer as testers, worst part is when people "pre-order" stuff, even worst when they have an history of QC issues and being mediocre at dealing with the RMA processes that will get most people into a loop hole.

    Ngl T, was hoping to see you take a bite out of the ULX after eating the strawberries. 😄 But seriously, the issues you pointed out are important for those of us who were considering at least attempting to buy this mouse. My DAV3 developed the same issue with creaking as yours did. It bothered me so much that I stopped using it and got the wired 8k model with the much better build, though it was much cheaper. So I can't even imagine buying a mouse with the same or worse issues. BTW, I've watched a few other reviews of this mouse, and they either minimized or totally ignored the issues you addressed, focusing instead on metrics such as click latency. I know FM has a history of crap QC, and it's possible that you got a bad one. But I'm now feeling OK about giving the ULX a pass.

    i agree, lightweight mice are nice but when they make it light to the point its messing up the build quality thats a hard pass, mice from companies like vaxee and zowie are known to be built like absolute tanks and that's mainly because they dont try to make the lightest stuff imaginable

  • @Shyvorix

    @Shyvorix

    @@coyotex850 Yea Vaxee has trimmed the weight down of their mice to the absolute bare minimum without affecting structural integrity but as a result they're not popular at all outside the tactical shooter scene (CSGO/2/Valorant). In areas like Apex, Fortnite, etc basically shooters with a fuckton of aiming and tracking, most prefer the lightweight as much as possible even if it affects structural integrity because it doesn't matter to them as much as weight since they're literally flinging the mouse around for 8-12 hours a day, every day, for months and even years. Ultimately, it depends on what you're looking for. Rock solid structure, or maximum weight loss.

  • @Ejziponken1

    @@coyotex850 I think there is a limit. But I also think some companies haven't really made the effort to push lower weights yet (like Zowie still at 80gish), and some are pushing a bit too hard for it. But I think the public also expects miracles. For each new mouse, if it's not lighter than the previous one, it's seen as a failure.

    The weight is amazing. The sensor feels great and i LOVE the clicks on all buttons more than any other mouse I've used. Unfortunately, the rest of the mouse feels CHEAP. It was advertised as being made of carbon fiber right? It feels like cheap/light plastic in my hand and literally no matter where I touch it, it flexes with VERY little effort. I'm pretty sure I could actually break this mouse, with just two fingers squeezing it on the palm rest. The size are already creaking and making popping sounds if I put the slightest amount of pressure on them, after about 20 hours of use. Honestly, I'm disappointed. I'm probably going to sell this on eBay and hope to break even, then buy the Razer Viper Mini SE when it goes up for sale again this weekend.

    Leave it to Techne to give us yet another BASED review. I also don't appreciate deceptive marketing. I've hated finalboy and his scummy tactics since I bought the air58 (loved the mouse, hated the lack of QC). Before anyone says I'm a hater, I still have owned almost every model since the air58, hoping they would live up to the hype and yet they always disappoint. The fact that the scrollwheel is STILL an issue after years of iterations from the finalfactory (wherever it is), we still have the same ghost scroll wheel jumps from 6+ years ago. Finalboy does a great job pushing some aspects of the technology but still can't get the QC right and it's maddening. All that being said, I'm still going to buy a ULX large hoping that I can finally have an updated air58 and maybe I'll win the lottery and be one of the minority mice that doesn't have ghost scroll issues.

However I do think the more lightweight a mouse is the easier and faster you can move and stop it which then leads to accuracy being better. Also less fatigue at low sens if you're playing for really long sessions throwing it about your mousepad.

  • @xythiera7255

    @xythiera7255

    Actuly thats not 100% the case . Fatigue is not a problem even with high weight mice becouse in reality nobody that uses heavy mice will plac on low sens if movements become harder you make ever movment you do faster so you move less over all . On top of that there isnt realy any mouse anymore thats realy heavy the heavy mice are now 60 70grams but the standart is now around 50 . Then is another factor what grip do you us if you palm grip weight doesnt matter if you claw grip weight also doesnt realy matter for the most part if we take 50g as standart . Were less weight has a realy larg effect is if you finger tip you dont have the support of your entire hand so your fingers feel every gram of weight hard . The thing is with the Starlight Ultralight X that you traid quality feeling for weight lose . It is still plastic in the end you feel its plastic and you get Finalmouses bs fanbase in the back as well then then there is the competition that can do the same low weight but for cheaper and its magnesium that wont bend or break on you ever like the WLmouse X or new upcomeing Superlight 2 shaped magnesium clone for just 99€ .

    Perfect video man! I loved the real comparison to the strawberry lol. But I disagree that there are better options. Unfortunately I don't have my copy yet, but in my opinion, the flex in the sides of the mouse worth because of the weight, that is very low. If the small ulx comes with 32g, it will continue being amazing, cause it is 8khz, the lightest mouse in the market (excluding g wolves HSK cause it is a half mouse). And it's impossible to compare with viper se, it is like 18g heavier, even heavier than starlights.

    The weight doesn't justify the price. You're talking about a mouse that costs near $200 for a "premium" product that flexes. 8K is also non-sense and unnecessary marketing BS. It's already been tested by other creators.

  • @Shyvorix

    @Shyvorix

    @@LA_Designer 8K is for sure a luxury, but let's be honest, at this weight range, flex is an inevitability because you literally cannot put enough material to make it structurally sound without increasing weight. This is why very few mice exist below the 60g range that doesn't flex or creak in some spots. So the options are, do you want absolute maximum structural integrity, or super low weight? It's borderline impossible to have both at the same time. Price is it's own shit since they're doing it to compete with the likes of Razer and Logitech who also have super expensive flagships.

    definitely none of the issues you mentioned here. I can get the one side to flex if i make a concerted effort to push it in, but why would i? This whole review is pretty nit-picky tbh, and feels like you are searching for things to dislike, think im gonna stick with Bad Seeds take on this one.

    Finally an honest mouse review! Such an overhyped product and you even have luck on your side to buy one. Never understood why people flock to this company. Most of their products have horrible QC and yet hardly anybody talks about it. They charge almost $200 for a mouse that creaks and breaks. People make very poor decisions buying anything from this company. Better options out there for way less money and guess what? You don’t have to be lucky to buy a quality mouse not made by final mouse.
