This is by far! My favourite mk game

I think Janet's air punch should scale more than Sonya's, because it's way more useful. You can pick Sonya because she has the rings projectile, but I don't think that it is that useful and easy to use. Sonya's air punch is worse than Janet's in every aspect...

I don't agree with Peacemaker's being a buff, because you can still stand block and punish. You can duck to avoid pressure or punish if the distance or your character allow...

I think peacemaker is one the hardest characters to nerf because every single part of his kit is fundamentally overpowered. The anti grav the eagly, the torpedo, the shield. I think if they need to nerf him naybe they should make the shield only act as a stand absorb. And require meter if you want the shield to stick to you. Eagly at close range has to be made punishable

Great Podcast as always 💚 . I think to your point on kasuals and pros feelings on the game I think you'll find a large portion of kasuals really disliking the kameo system as a whole and this probably is the biggest complaint for MK1 (that you are forced to do this, where in MK9 it was an option to do tag team) and for the pros it might be that plus it looks a bit boring which is why they are ditching (this is just a guess on my part). As a result, I don't foresee them doing kameos again much like the other gimmicks/mechanics in past games, which I don't really mind. I mean I love Shujinko a lot but I would love a return to the MK9/X days or even MK4 with the run mechanic and sidestepping. I could be wrong but I think people want another MKX to happen as that game is beloved even to this day and for good reason. My biggest complaint for MK1 is the lackluster story and the character assassination of Tanya. If those were fixed I wouldn't really care too much about the gameplay.

Kenshi is fine. People - including me sometimes - aren’t patient enough when the puppets out. And the tech is easy and universal that’s why he doesn’t need a nerf. Also my main smokes him so sure give him a buff

You are like old reddit, what it was like before they sold out. Good luck holding out. People are tribal, facts clearly demonstrate that Mk1 is a mathematically beautiful game. Whether or not it ends up coming out as the mathematically superior game is a different story. Up blocks, chip damage, Kameo's, Flawless, Make your mind up?

Make kenshi initial summon of sento cost 2 bars, and keep everything else the same

What do you think about changes to johnny to gut his defense. Keep all of his offense but an idea i had is to make his shadow kick two bars and reduce his health to 90. I think keeping what makes him fun whats important.

Apperently its controversial but i rather buff everyone than to keep nerfing the "top tiers" people will always go to the next best character anyways so why not just make everyone strong🗣🗣
