Chasing the Timekeeper in the air with a constant usage of Phenoix, Garuda, and Shiva was just absolutely beautiful to witness.

I like the focus on movement in these two videos. Especially with using the combination stomp to stay above bosses. Donguri has noticeably improved at the game too since the first few videos when it released.

Lot more impressive than his older FF16 videos which just seemed like run of the mill normie play. Seems like he finally took the time to understand Clive's kit better.

I just feel like Gran Blue Relink is more interesting, FF16 just tries too much to be DMC like and it ruins the vibe because there is not the same level of interaction dmc allows. All is just prestored moves that looks flashy meanwhile DMC requires skill-cooking to be « cool »

I don’t really see the it “tries to be DMC” thing about the game, because your logic can be applied to other hack n slash games out there like Bayonetta, Og god of war, MGR, etc. its just bad faith DMC elitism. Note that I’m a DMC player and I do agree that DMC has a more complex combat system than most hack n slash games, I just don’t like the “it’s trying to be like DMC narrative” because 16 has unique elements that are not present in DMC

@@rosegiogio9255 you mentioned all those games (MGR , Bayonetta etc) and still you fall short so lets make it simple , why does FF15 was bad with an action over tactical mechanism ? FF16 is just the path after FF15 & Stranger of paradise , its more akin to a beat them all with all the shiny bits of FF sugarcoated over it to look cool. You hold one button to just "basic attack" like some casual mobile game. There is no real combos just preprogrammed animation or EX Specials if you hold the button or filled a gauge because "mechanic". Take MGR for example you have a light & heavy attack that you can mix to produce special moves that helps the player gain the upper hand; Same with bayonetta. FF16 is just fill the yellow bar to then mash all your skills into CD , rinse and repeat. Donburi and some others dudes make it looks like cool but at the core its beyond lazyness , even the QTE boss fights or Kaiju/Eidolons fights are the same blank lazy mess. Play Granblue Fantasy Relink and just see how it is different but yet better than FF16. This FF just feels like a weird wannabe DMC appealed to Casuals with somehow trying to give a bone to experienced players . FF7R is suffering from the same syndrome since the system is similar , ok the graphisms and nostalgia + having a next gen skin is cool ... but really the fights just feels like watching an anime or some automated gameplay that rewards you for pressing a button when the gauge is sparkling after 5 min holding Square/X on your controller. Zenless Zone zero has not a very deep fight system either , all you have to do is just press the right button when a gold spark is there or know that you will have to dodge and after spam the basic attack attached to one button then press EX special when gauge is filled to proc max dps or stun , rinse and repeat. From a gacha game that is F2P , this is ok as a game mechanic. For FF16 on PS5 with a cost of 70 or 80 bucks , this is lazyness from scenario to gameplay , Square enix is way more capable of doing better than that

@@GrayFolxy I gotta be honest, the way you just simplified ff16 as “fill the yellow bar” is very dishonest and disingenuous. Anybody can water down anything and make it boring, DMC just press triangle to win, MGR you don’t need heavy attacks to win just hit with light, you can tell both statements I just made are stupid because I just completely ignore what makes a hack n slash game appealing .if you think about it, in DMC you have melee attacks and range, just like 16, but the way you mix around combos with other tools like the style mechanics or the Eikons is what makes the game engaging, because truly you can just do basic attacks and win as long as you dodge properly in hack n slash games, but who doesn’t want to optimize their damage while looking cool, so players start experimenting and learn more mechanics. What donguri is doing in screen is clearly not just pressing square. You just want to glaze up Grand blue for some reason and I guess your avenue is just slandering 16. nothing against grand blue but more so with your bad faith take because this video just clearly disproves your take
