Playing this game was a journey I’ll never forget. This game is very special to me. Whenever I hear this version of Stand by me I cry happy tears and think about the whole adventure. I spent many hours doing everything I could do in the game plus it’s DLC and I didn’t regret a single minute. Thank you Square Enix for giving us this beautiful game.

I think you're true in saying that... this is completely different from any FF game to date, looks a little like FF7 but, right now just looking at the trailer it doesn't give me those FF vibes since its so modern as opposed to the others which were mostly set in medieval times (with futuristic technology based off magic) this seems to just set in a futuristic setting just for the sake of it, so they could include all this new tech without explanation. But can't really assume too much, its not out yet

You also need to remember that the setting for this game is one where both reality and fantasy collide for some currently unknown reason. There is an explanation for things such as warping abilities and the ability to switch between weapons in a quick manner you just need to do some research in the game. Not saying you haven't but they've been doing a pretty exceptional job with explaining a lot of the factors that go into Final Fantasy XV.

I got this game for Christmas in 2016 without ever hearing of Final Fantasy nor seeing any trailers for this game before its release. That being said, to this day, it is still my favorite game of all time. I felt like Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto were all my real friends. This is such a beautiful game, and I will cherish it forever.

We'll, looks like my life will end on September 30th. Just got a third job, and a new girlfriend too. That's too bad. We have a lot in common. She will be missed.

I’ll be honest and say I think this game could have been better, but it would have taken them longer to complete it. BUT, I do love this game and I think it was one of the best Final Fantasy games if not the best one. It brought Final Fantasy into the modern era, and it did it well.

Did the game have some shortcomings near the end? Sure did... but that doesn't stop it from being one of my favourite Final Fantasy titles in years. The main cast are amazingly well done, and very memorable.

This was such a beautiful game. It’s too bad that it had to end so tragically. The journey far surpassed the destination.

I'm glad they changed the battle system to an action rpg. I love FF6, 7, 8, and 10 but turn based and active time battle systems were becoming outdated. With these awesome graphics, those types of battle systems would really break the immersion.

Turn based battle systems still very much have their place. It's a shame that many developers just seem to think that we outgrew it in the PS3/360 gen, and very few games have turn based systems. I'm glad there's been a resurgence in recent years with Atlus being the kings of it with SMT and Persona but Square has also realized their mistakes somewhat with the Bravely Default series. Both types of systems have their place and turn based games are not "outdated" in the least.

+JJ Re my thoughts exactly. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind games that are not turn based however, I liked the fact that Final Fantasy was more or less a turn based game series, that was its niche. Leave the non-turn based games for another franchise to handle. A great example of turn based games working is Pokemon, those games have been going on for years, and are loved by thousands of players, and when they try to do something non turn based (Pokken) it shows how much it changes EVERYTHING, it ceases to become a strategy game and becomes a game where if you dont hit a button at the exact right time you could lose.

I’m four years late. It took me finishing Final Fantasy 7 Remake to check this out and so far I’m not disappointed. One things for certain: Square Enix don’t hold back on the Soundtrack!

It's fair to say this game has been worth the wait!

It give me the chills to think that I have been waiting for this game since 3rd grade, and I'm going to be graduating high school in two months! I am so excited for this game!

Heard this arrangement of Stand By Me just now and was reminded of this. I had never played a FF all the way through before... had just sampled a couple games. This trailer alone sold me on the game, and I loved it from start to finish.

i only met final fanasy on 12 and never regretted a single thing about meeting this game still love how they improve thier gameplay from this past years

I just started playing this game a few weeks ago and I must say that I really love it, people might have a lot of discrepancies with this but I haven’t been able to stop playing.

The way that it begins with grand orchestral music and an powerful voiceover over epic visuals, then quickly switches to a much more subdued tone focusing on quieter moments which then become more and more interlaced with clips of frantic action as the Stand By Me cover builds up in intensity. I picked up the game at midnight release and I'm loving every second of it, but I still find myself coming back to this trailer. It's a work of art in and of itself.

I can never understand why people hated this game so much, the final campfire scene with the homies made me cry the hottest tears.

Best trailer ever. You can really feel the raw emotion of the game. Hats off to Square Enix and Hajime Tabata.

I've watched this so many times and it still gives me the chills.

maybe we waited a long time but i have to say it was totally worth it

You know I like the songs that they put in this trailer it fits so perfectly that it fits the mood and the tone of the game itself.

When the game was versus 13 it was based off of Romeo and Juliet, I don't know if they're sticking with that sort of theme but if they are Romeo's best friend Mercutio died so there is probably a chance 1 of the 3 friends will die.

Patriclus FTW the season pass literally tells you that it has online co-op included once its released.... it could be in may for all we know though, square enix did say the will be working on free updates and the DLC through the entire year.

1:50 Best part of the trailer in my opinion. The slowmotion and Ignis saving Noctis works so well.

"Stand by me" hits different when you've finished the game

Who's here in 2020? Still an amazing trailer. Makes me want to play every time.

This may be the only Final Fantasy game that will catch my interest since I'm not a fan of JRPGs or turn based RPGs. But the huge open world and hack and slash style combat just seems too good to pass up. I may actually want to play this.

Thank you Square Enix i love FFXV my favorite game in all time. whenever I see and remember something about this game I can't help crying

I gotta say Final fantasy 15 is one of the best open world game I've ever played Knocking Witcher 3 off and Skyrim off my list, the story is so compelling and heart touching, the soundtrack is amazingly beautiful adding the classic final fantasy to it, the game is challenging and fun I'm glad FFXV deserved my money unlike boring witcher 3.

Woahhhhhhhh. I agree with the Skyrim part but this game is even with the Witcher 3. If a game could combine FFXV graphics with Skyrim's freedom like open world and Witcher 3's story telling that would be the game of the century.
