Great video. Today i finished the last Heavensward dungeon, roll credits and then more Lv.60 missions pop off. Now im confused, but happy. Does the free trial extend to more story! Don't answer. Also, Raubahn was at the ceremony before the credits.😁

Knowing that there will be a Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker iteration of this is phenomenal.

I always thought the "ending" of base-game Heavensward was funny. "OH SHIT NIDHOGG IS BACK! We'll ignore that for now." *roll triumphant credits*

Roechelle is going to have to tie Hyurbert and just take him to get him to notice her feeling. She wasn't even being subtle when she spoke German, now she is blatantly saying it to his face in English and he still don't notice. Don't give up Rochelle. Even if he's as thick as mud, love is worth fighting for.

I think the XIV nutshells are RAB's best work. It's honestly heartwarming how much these characters have grown throughout this compilation. From Hyurburt becoming more of a competent player, to Eliza and Lalafelon having a brother/sister dynamic, and Roechelle being more open about her feelings toward Hyurburt (go for it bro)! And the VAs sell it all the more. Keep up the great work RABtoons!

I will never get tired of seeing Lalafelon's lines coming to life, it's always such a delight to watch. I absolutely LOVE playing this character! This slow building friendship dynamic is really starting to get good, I can't wait for when the wholesome stuff starts to slip in and they don't even realize it, the subtlety in the changes over time is really noticeable when you go all the way back! Can't wait to see these characters build more and more! Great work as always! :D

Fun Fact! Those crickets at the end were nearby as I recorded my lines for Raubahn XD. It definitely added to the scene I think

The way I think I remember it. Teleporting is when you take a more gentler avenue of the lifestream and have a clear destination connected to atherytes. Flow you just jump in with no way of getting back out unless you inconvenience your friends or an extremely powerful and apathetic ascian to pull you back out. The tax thing is still stupid though.

I mean in city regions it makes sense that they tax you to pay the aetherologist to keep the aetherythes working properly so you always end up at the right places...HOWEVER...not so much in garlemald...OR THE HECKING MOON, nevermind all the wilds or the first...so they might wana revisit the canon explanation at some point cuz it got some holes :p

From what I recall, using aetherytes you don't use the Lifestream; you disassemble yourself into your constituent aether and then move to a known beacon. _Flow_ involves turning yourself into aether, joining the Lifestream, and then hopefully popping out... somewhere. There's presumably more of a method to that madness, but the spell just isn't that safe since getting stuck in the LIfestream is pretty common. Presumably, unlike _teleport, flow_ can be used in combat. However that game restriction translates.

Apparently Haurchefant was way more flirty with the player character in the japanese dialogue. He still has some flirty lines in the localized version, but they are way more subtle.

The difference between Flow and Teleport is Teleport transports you to Aetherytes. Flow can theoretically teleport you anywhere, however, the spell is... finicky, and can sweep up anyone in the flow. Without a clear destination, you might not leave the Lifestream.

@@dale7326 you take a sack of gil and bury it about six inches underground. With regular watering you grow a fresh lalafell in about two months.

Teleportation is setting up a pipe between point A and point B. Flow is like cannonballing into a rushing river and hoping somebody fishes you out before you drown.

7:56 Not gonna lie: I actually really do appreciate the little tie-in tidbits with regards to your classes. Like if you've leveled DRG Estinien mentions that it'll be 2 Azure Dragoons facing off against Nidhogg in The Aery, more recently if you've leveled RPR then there'll be mentions of you having mastered that art in the MSQ. There's not much of such dialogue, but I honestly to enjoy the little shout-outs. :D Edit: still absolutely LOVING all the random PCs walking around in the background. :D

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Estinien should friggin wash his armour. Actually screenshot Alphinaud's text when he said he was watching Y'shtola after being pulled out of the lifestream because it was so funny

@@icheeva1 you can find this dialogue after you take and airship to gridania. It's optional so after you talk to aphinaud there's no game indicator saying you have to talk to the rest of the character.

I dont even play final fantasy 14 but for some reason i have rewatched these videos 5 times over the last week.

Awww man, that vault joke was too real. I remember doing this with my FC and our healer, was going tru a bad moment as her boyfriend broke up with her in a rather dramatic way where swearing got involved. We had to stop because the lines of the final boss got to her pretty bad and was crying her heart out like Hyurbert. The joke made me laugh because it reminded me of that moment when she started crying like crazy on the voice chat and the team was surprised and perplexed at her reaction as nobody knew why it happened until she told us, fortunately she found someone who is better later on.

Either you die by the hand of The vault's final boss or become the boss itself by using its catchphrases

I remember my moment at the end of this expansion. There was a moment where the arena for the final boss stopped being the temple and suddenly became a platform with a orbital view of the planet at its upper atmosphere. And I just had a split second where I had to say in group chat "why are we in space!? This was so much more simple when we were just fighting garlean!"

Weird thing? Almost all of this actually happens in game and on screen when they say it does. As much as I enjoy Heavensward, it's a really strange story. Nidhogg not being as dead as advertised is a bit more of a surprise, but not by much.

It ends with a tease of what we'll see in the expansion following the next adventure, which is also weird. We learn about the shards, then we ignore that to focus on having to actually deal with Doma and Ala Mhigo, because that asshole who betrayed us just caused a big incident.

Yep, the Moogle glam is very accurate. Every climactic fight of the expansion has a Moogle, Frog or short cloth glam.

Yes!!! Hyurbert as manly and competent gaining attraction from the real Rochelle, Eliza as a Leeroy Jenkins kick in the door character, Lalafelon as an Indian voiced Gahndi spreading peace and religion, and Rochelle… speaks Portuguese because when her character was first written the German gag was all they really had to go on.

Roechelle and Hyurbert are so nice together, lets just hope Hyurbert realize those feelings and is not as dense as a Splendid Dense Iron Ore. Lalafelon being nice is weird to me, but I love the fact that there character growth in a nutshell series, just makes this series even more fun to watch. Haurchefant Greystone "Yes, this is he's full name." Good Job. I'm also adding that word around 17:01 to words I never want to hear in any conversation... Ever again. I haven't heard of Falconshield since the days I used to play League! Seeing that name popping up in the credits really brought back my sad LoL days... NICE! I can't wait for the Alexander quest line!

Difference between Flow and normal teleportation are obvious, though. When you teleport, you’re going to a beacon, usually an aetherite, on a set course. Flow is a dangerous and risky teleport through uncharted waters where you can get lost.
