First I though Meteion's sisters met an entity in the outer space like Jenova that caused the final day. Our Meteion felt it the torture it is doing to her sisters through the sync, and that's how that entity able to find Etheirys.

Not gonna lie, Endwalker touched on some serious shit I deal with on a daily basis. Existential crisis aside, it was super depressing for me and not necessarily in a bad way but just put me in a place. What I'd give to be one of those people who can just go through life without feeling that kinda paralyzing fear that is the unknowing my own existence and the finality of dying. It does nothing to better you, soul shattering anxiety of the worse kind.

I know this is late, but gosh I feel this. Badly. That sort of anxiety is so incredibly encumbering, and just nags at you constantly. Even if I try to live in the moment and somehow bury it in my mind, it always comes back to me, especially when I'm half awake. Wish I knew what to do for it. I'm at least able to get respite from it in my dreams, I can only hope it's the same for you.

Damn i remember my reaction after they were discussing the cause of the finak days and who was behind. When meteion started speaking i felt my heart pound. And then the report came. I couldn't stop saying "no no no not her please it cant be her!" She was so innocent. 😞 an apocalypse not caused by evil intention or by accident but immense pain.

@@darekun46 ostrakon like u see on ultima thule is the greek word for a shard, notably a shard of pottery. the planets are numbered and the shards are of those planets. thats why we see the fates she spoke of.. on those shards. the sisters themselves are called the meteia.

They werent her sisters names, those are just Greek numbers. She said she was reporting "in order of numerical code," meaning 1. 2. 3. etc.

Just reminding me that both Hermes and Emet-Selch are assholes who almost ended everything; Hermes because he refused to let us talk to Meteion and then got nihilistic and sent her away, and Emet-Selch for insisting on destroying her after hearing the report. Neither of them recognized or cared that she was a scared little girl who needed a friend to talk that terrible truth to and help her come to terms with it.

That's a different world entirely, you see a part of it in the dungeon afterewards. The original homeland of the Lalas is on the Source. Do the Alolao Island criterion dungeon.

I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure I heard that track somewhere in ARR content, probably during one of the cutscenes for Coil.

did you run noise reduction on a cutscene? that's the only explanation I can think of for how the audio cuts in and out like that when people talk...

I actually lowered volume in general years ago along with lowering music slightly further for some reason, and had completely forgotten about that until after I uploaded the video and realized the volume in general is much lower than I had remembered. It's this way only because I have no speakers and listen exclusively on headphones, and I was only recording this video to show how this game handles its writing to a personal friend who has no time for MMOs. As such, I wasn't going to re-record this after realizing what was happening with the volume. Sorry. :(

Yunalesca didn't want the people to drown in sorrow. Meteion is saying f*ck it lets all drown. yunalesca gave up after the false hope was given up by yuna and crew and decided to peace out but Meteion was too sad and angry and decided to take it upon herself to go Seymour style on the universe.

This is amazing. I hope FF14 will become a single player game or at least will get a mode to get the full content solo. Instead of NPC helpers, just turn down the bosses and add them to a different mode. This lore and story is too good for the MMORPG and its gameplay.

Yup got Lucemon vibes from Digimon. Coincidentally Lucemon SM, Lucemon's mega form, is holding what looks like a planet, while the Endsinger just creates planets to throw at her foes. Also I found her hair and feet creepy even in her blue form.

she isnt evil though? shes young and naive, and hermes entrusted the duty of finding the answer to a flawed question, and finding no hopeful answer to said question she found so reasons for living, and became nihilistic. He created her to be intensely empathetic, being mostly dynamis- and didn't bother to teach her how to deal with painful emotions.

There is no meaning… save the meaning we make for ourselves. Find something you enjoy, and make it your meaning. At least, that's my answer to your comment. However, what we see here is something yet different. When Meteion summarized her report, noone explicated the summary of the summary: All those dead stars focused too much on suffering. Pleasure fell by the wayside, effectively eliminated alongside suffering. And they despaired for living without pleasure. It is, in the sense of the classical greek schools of philosophy, advocating maximizing of pleasure as essential, and disdains exclusively minimizing pain as a folly that dooms civilizations. Thus, the meaning is pleasure. It's not that there is no meaning, it's that pain is not the meaning.
