I feel so badass in the final of the slaughterhouse in Lightning Returns.

Absolutely criminal this was not the version that made it into the OST. I get it, they were working with CD’s and had to cut some tracks in favor of others but this was one track they should have left full length

pretty lit song to raid to ngl

too bad it's only used twice in the game. some of the best songs in 13 and 13-2 feel extremely underutilized. i think they should have kept this theme as the official battle theme and used the other 2 as extras, or opt out of using the heavy metal one.

Too bad, yes. But I think the normal battle theme should be the Aggressive mix for each zone. Interrupting every 12 seconds with the start of a new song is bothersome, when they prove the seamless transition between an encounter and wandering is, well, seamless.

Final Fantasy XI and XIII-II have the best soundtrack from the entire franchy. And i even played XI.

I don't think a battle theme has to give back the character of the enemy but make the fight more dramatic. But at least you share my opinion that they wasted the theme.

Dolorks Caius's theme us leagues better than this tune. This is great for in a pinch but the original track for this song is awful due to the lyrics. Much preferred it were it without lyrics

When I first heard this song (in DFFOO) I found it pretty cringey. After getting to play 13-2, I think the associations with the game, and how it meshes with all the other genres and style choices really changed my perception. Now I extend battles featuring this song just so I can sing along (in 13-2 and LR!)
