It really makes me wanna try out the game. I'd rate selfie higer just for the hillarious "the end" limit break.

I recommend it. It's a fun one although for first time players without a guide it can be brutal lol

I took Quistis and Rihnoa to the end but I’d take Edea in a heartbeat.

I can't believe you dissed Edea's look. 😭😭😭 She has one of the most epic designs of the series. Overall, cool list. I followed for the Tactics content, but I love seeing more. You should do an FFIX ranking of you haven't already!

Wow really great video, ranking is spot on, but this game is just too easy when we understand about junction and that game breaking card mod 😂 However since this game emphasis on junction setup right from the start, your analysis in this game should be 💥

Squall's corpse is SSS+ tier. Weekend At Bernie's that corpse through the game, and enjoy flattering enemies scaling to a dead body instead of the people carrying it.

Rinoa should definitely be in S+ imho, she has the strongest Limit Break out of all known FF characters in all games 😂 If you cast Triple on her, have her speed and magic stats at max, the enemy Melted Down, she will literally kill anything with Meteor before they even get to attack. She’s essentially no-input Zell 😂 I’ve fought some end game bosses this way, even the multi-phase ones, they all die before they can take an action / second action (if they get 1 chance to attack)

I can totally see your point on that one and if someone wants to rank her that high I have no issues. 👍 I just don't think she is as good early on and not to mention she can be out of the party for a while. Its just so specific and requires a bit of setting up to work wonders and such why I put her in S.

The unfortunate thing with Quistis is on paper her Limit made her an amazing mob killer especially Degenerator and LV? Death, as well as an amazing support character with Mighty Guard and White Wind, the issue is because the way the game works you rarely if ever have to kill mobs and the game is so pathetically easy her support end up being overkill. Very valuable if you play a fan game Hardcore Mod tough.

I did mention those abilities in the video. For a first timer without a guide though this game is brutal. Her abilities are great for taking advantage of the stat bonuses upon level gain.

I'd have put Selphie and Quistis in D tier for gameplay. With Selfie, even if you high roll on slot, it still gets outperformed by Squall or Zell doing their limit break. One turn from Selphie is worth .1 turns from Squall or Zell. Full heal is detrimental to the party because they lose access to their limit breaks. You're better off inflating your HP with junctions, and keeping it low relative to your total but still higher than the enemies can pose a threat to. Escape every battle, learn Enc-half and Enc None, stay at level 12 or below. With Quistis, she's basically only got Mighty Guard. Degenerator will level you up which is a negative in this game, and Shockwave pulsar does the same as about 3 or 4 individual Renzokuken swings. (But I do like them as characters and they do look cool etc)

To each their own. Honestly it's still possible and viable to use them and beat the game quite well. The most real difference is like what you are saying about their limit. Ofc nothing trumps Squall and Zell but I'd still have them as a party member over not having one.

I never finished it back in the day. For me to do one, I would have to play it through multiple times and really experiment with the characters

Zell is about booya and heel drop repeatedly. Those moves are killer.
